One thing to note is that he has all of his woods and hybrid bent open almost 2 degrees. This will make the 10.5 superfast play more like a 8.5-9* head(depending if the starting loft was actually 10.5 as stamped). The tour issue superfast has an extra long hosel that allows the tour van guys to bend it open where the retail models you can't. It's too short.

you need to consider the fact that what you should be thinking about is the dynamic loft of the face. When te club face is opened, players tend to release a little more freely and therefore deloft the face slighty through impact, whereas if you were to toe the clubface in you would hold it off and add loft. It's a weird concept to get your head around but wilding69 is speaking the truth

Yes that is correct..A open face is not actually open at the time of impact, it is only open at address.

When Johnson rotates the face square at the moment of impact he has to close the face to do so which means it is now de-lofted by 2 degrees. Vijay does the same thing with his driver.
