My two cents, you guys would have much better luck using an automatic transmission or a jericho shifter. You would definately be in the low 9's and be a lot more consistent. Its good that your motor makes the power, but if you are hitting the rev limiter shifting a stick, then that's the problem. And you won't have to worry about blowing head gaskets so much !

Lol, auto's are for pussies and domestics that cant go fast and use a clutch at the same time, we race these cars in the format they were sold, they are street cars and race in street car based classes.

They hit the rev limiter to let the tires catch up when spinning, otherwise they will bog.

Who said anything about headgaskets 99% of the motors run copper o-rings and will never have gasket issues running 35-45psi like they do now.

@numba1netsfan Im sorry, but thats not the reason the fox body is kicking the shit out of anybody. 1 at 2:58 it launched early and got a red light. 2 at 3:09 you can hear the civic cutting out. He probably dealt with that half way down the track. The only other time the fox body was shown it didnt even make an effort and lost. In drag imports dont use autos. Including the fastest like chuck seitsinger. And its need for speed everyone uses autos, so I guess its you that needs to keep playing it.

@numba1netsfan Oh and last thing, if its really the torque that makes it hard to control during a shift, that would only apply to a rear wheel drive. Since these hondas, including the neon and cobalt, are front wheel drive there is no issue and the car can be controlled as you see in every pass the cars make. Clean passes all manual.

The tires have to be deflated like that, when it spins the tire getts too much pressure on the walls with high pressure from the cintrifical force of the turning tires, it allows tire flex, as to not rip the tires to peices upon takoff.
