  • no penalty their lol goalie didn't touch him.

  • Shamrock fc FTW

  • @johnstonemeister bah I'm pretty sure they were saying let's all laugh @ rangers scum :) Ireland + Celtic forever

  • Can someone clear this up for me.do shamrock fans like celtic fc?

  • @johnstonemeister many do, as the 'Irish' club in Scotland, some don't, seeing them as another tv 'barstool' supported team. Pretty indifferent myself.

  • @dingane just wondering because i thought they had a friendship.they play in the hoops they are an irish club etc but someone told me they were singing lets all laugh at celtic when after they won this match

  • @johnstonemeister some might have but others were heaidng straight to the bar after the games against Kazan and Spurs to see Celtic's game. But as for a formal friendship, no there's nothing like that.

  • @dingane cheers mate.good luck in europe!

  • shamrock players went to the pub after the game

  • Irish people are very easy to wind up.

  • GREAT WIN AS USUAL IT TAKES A FOOTBALL TEAM TO BRING PRIDE TO IRELAND and not those useless rugger buggers, and bog ball lovers and their laughable GOMBEEN GAMES.

  • penalty?question for the referee

  • Good luck in UEFA League Shmarock Rovers. Greetings from Serbia \m/

  • It was't a penalty!!! -Grobari 1970 Jug

  • the lack of emotion in the commentators is astonishing after the first rovers goal. english commentators and irish commentators are biased to there teams but will go nuts if a good goal goes in regardless of who scored. like all the goals united scored at wembly. these guys didn't want to be there

  • As a CELTIC fan well do shamrock rovers Thomas Haverstock

  • As a Cork City fan i will say congrats to Shamrock Rovers, hope you lot do well

  • Keep all the matches in tallaght, what a win!!

  • Are their matches In the aviva

  • @Biddlybong123 no, tallaght

  • lol there's no way that was a peno but fair play to rovers

  • 1984ioc. I could have put my comment better. It was really meant to mean that we have moved on from them times and wish all Irish teams well. Come on the Rovers.

  • @gretna2008fc Cheers bud, glad to hear that.Good luck in yer qualifying group for the european championships as well.2nd place is a definite possibility. All the best.Ian

  • shunsukest thanks for the comments you're a true football fan!

  • Yup the boys

  • Can some people please stop making excuses. Rovers deserved it.

  • There is no reason for penalty

  • colemanmt1979. It was a penalty though he dived a bit. He was caught but made the most of it. However, I don't care. I'm Irish and my country were cheated out of qualification for the last world cup by cheating on a whole different level. After that, all ideals of fairness go out the window. In any case, every time Rovers players went near their guys, they were on the floor. Cheating is all part of it. Who cares?...not me. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in there Rovers.

  • @seanpaulq09 didnt touch the player

  • keeper could have done better for the first goal

  • Forgot to say, i haven't seen too many better goals

  • Shamrocks keeper looks bit soft. Yes he was on his way down before keeper got him. Who cares lol. Well done, from a football fan in N. Ireland. And a Prod.

  • @gretna2008fc Theres plenty of protestant rovers fans chara

  • @gretna2008fc The Rovers keeper made a superb save in the first half if you saw it.As regards being a Prod,no offense mate but people in the South couldn't give a fuck what religion you are.Its 2011 bud not 1940.We have other things to be worrying about these days.Cheers for the congrats though.

  • Look at then Partizan fans , i wish we had them fan here in Ireland 6000 fans like that in Tallaght no the 1k that are like that and Roves ground would be like HELL for other teams to play in . Love the Partizan fans ...Well done Rovers

  • shamrock rovers need a better keeper i think! i feel he could have saved the goal here and he was a bit poor in the first leg!

  • @calahoon22 ye he is kinda shite

  • Congrats, Erin!

  • People who are saying it was a dive, get a eye test. The keeper clearly took him down and look at the reactions there were little to no protests and the keeper even slams the ground in frustration because he knew he'd made a mistake. Also if he stayed on his feet the keeper was on the ground and he had the whole goal in front of him so he would have scored anyway, fools.

  • @7oy Congratulations to Shamrock players, they played with heart and deservedly took the victory! Partizan is in the abyss, the bright spots are Volkov, Aksentijevic and Radisa Ilic! The rest is a big zero! I hope we meet again, since then, good luck in LE !!! GROBARI JUG 1970 !

  • @7oy You can never say for certain he would have scored. I've seen the best strikers in the world miss an open goal from two yards. It's never a certain goal until the ball is in the net.

  • @UlsterGroundhopper case in point being torres vs utd on sunday....... hilarious!!

  • @7oy Man, that was a blatant dive! No shame in admitting it, dunno why you're getting so wound up about it, u won the game, doesn't matter how!! The keeper is going mad because he knows the ref has fallen for it and won't change his mind. Pat Sull's goal dispels any notion that rovers didn't deserve to go thru anyway. Fair play to them, they were v unlucky with the draw for the groups from a progression point of view. On the flip side, u have visits from Rubin Kazan and Spurs this season tho.

  • @bobbymacallister

    10.00 points

  • @7oy lol it wasn't a penalty are you blind when they show the replay the goalie even shows that it's not a penalty ur a dumb as shamrokian bitch and you bitches can't win a fair match so yall get these fake ass penalties pussy ass niggas

  • Mickey mouse club??? Bit of respect please.

  • Pekar, lekar, apotekar mogao sam biti ja ... igrač Šamroka!

  • great to see it.. still a adive tho :p

  • Hang on, how come no one has pointed out that he fucking dived for the penalty? That's cheating.

  • @colemanmt1979 are you blind, its a clear penalty

  • @glantanem No. No it isn't. I realise that you're all excited because an underdog has reached the exciting stages of a relatively big competition, but when you view it as an impartial observer, as I did, you can see that he's already on his way down before the keeper makes contact (even though the contact is minimal). It's a booking for the Rovers player.

  • @colemanmt1979 "excited because an underdog has reached the exciting stages of a relatively big competition"

You clearly have no idea what this means to the people of Ireland, this it the first time in our history that we have made it to the group stagees of europen competition. The entire rovers squad cost about 600,000 euros, one of the partizan players earn that in year, this is semi-pro side, its literally david and goliath. but they fully deserved it.

  • @colemanmt1979 I watched the first leg and ive the seen the highlights of 2nd, the played better than i knew a league of ireland club could play, check out their goal in the first leg, its was top quality, you wouldn't see better in the champions leg, then the wonder strike to level it in this leg, this wasn't luck, any partizan fan (and even player will admit that). As for claim about the penaltyi do not beleive you are correct, you are correct in saying the contact was minimal........

  • @colemanmt1979 ...Cont'd but lets be honest it that was a penalty, it wasn't a blatant, stone cold penalty but in that area of the pitch with the goalkeeper effectively beaten if any contact with the player is made there can be no argument, now you can argue that the player was being dishonest (and you may have a piont), it does look like he may have went down intentionally, maybe he was falling anyway, or maybe he actually did get thrown off balance by the keeper its hard to knowfor sure....

  • @colemanmt1979 but your assessment that he should have been booked if completely false, if any contact is made there can be no argument, if the goal keeper hadn't touched him fari enough, then id agree, but he did, therefore it was a penalty and we both know they've been given for a hell of lot less so please stop trying to diminish an unbeleivabe achievement for rovers and irish soccer,we got knocked out of the world cup from a blantant henry handball, even if your right its the least we deserv

  • @colemanmt1979 ever see barcelona play? best team in the world

  • well played Rovers and good luck in the group A i look 4ward to seeing you at the lane

  • hahahahah !!!!! JADNO IZDANJE GROBARA !!!!!!! :DDDDD

  • I'm sick of all this heart stuff about Shamrock Rovers. The truth is they OUTPLAYED Belgrade in both legs. Their goals were as good as you'll see anywhere. O'Sullivan, McCabe, Dennehy, Stevens and Murphy are really good players who will be scouted by good English clubs now and the other players are not without skill either. Trap, do the right thing and reward McCabe, O' Sullivan and Stevens with caps in friendlies. I'm convinced these players can do it. Penalty a dive..They do it so who cares!

  • @seanpaulq09 I fully agree, just look at the goals they scored, top qulaity in any division even the champions league, they beat them in every sense of the word, on the balance of play Shamrock rovers were the better side, they even beat them on tactics e.g. strategic substitutes in the plus changing the shape of the side to a 4-4-2 in the 2nd half

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

  • Picka vam materina irska !

  • I am so pissed right now, but congrats nevertheless. Despite being a Partizan fan I will be your biggest fan in the UEFA League, the Hoops have shown a great deal of heart and I respect that. Greetings from Serbia.

  • @shunsukest you have every right to be pissed man, but Belgrade will be back, a big club, our clubs are tiny and most Irish people ironically "support" English clubs, this is a huge thing for Irish football that goes beyond the immediate result of this match, Irish people might now start to take Irish club football a bit more seriously, this club almost went bankrupt 5 years ago only for the support of a few loyal supporters who put some money in, thanks for the respect man, Forza Partizan

  • Saliven is a crazy motherf***er :) great goal ... Red Star Belgrade !

  • Brilliant result for Shamrock Rovers and the League of Ireland.

  • Thanks man!

And hey, the higher our UEFA coefficient keeps going up, the better chance we all have for future years.

  • Being a Dundalk fan, I hate Rovers, but I'm behind em all the way in Europe... Some achievement and fair play to the players and supporters. Hope ya enjoy your run, greatest night in Irish football history, EVER!

  • well done to rovers, they deserve it so much, thats what you get when you play with pride and never give up. you have single handedly helped irish football a huge deal. derry can do it next year :)

  • We strung 10-15 passes together in the build up to the penalty. Unbelievable considering many of the lads were almost out on their feet.

    Unreal performance.

  • @boosra The greatest performance by an Irish team in Europe ever.If your a Rovers fan well done bud.Couldn't be more happy for you.I follow Cork City and the stress and tension i had to deal with watching this was fucking immense so god only knows how you felt. What a night, still buzzing from it.
