  • Big balls to throw them LKE baseballs.

  • this is a noob question but i just got a mackbook 13in and i want to go from the game to the internet or itunes without quitting. how do i minimize wow in game?

  • @MrTCereal69 Press command(cmd) + M

  • @MrTCereal69 Press and hold "cmd" and now press "m"

  • I run on a ACER Laptop, 2.00G memory, i Got it about 2 years ago. Well, I can only run Low/fair grpahics, Anyone know how to make it where i can go higher?? Instead of buying a new PC?

  • holy crap... this little laptop is a beast

  • I have this laptop and im getting 7 fps. Can anybody help me?

  • @soryn305

Lower the settings and get the current drivers for your graphics card. That's all you can do.

  • @dannybighair how in the hell does he have such high fps with the SAME laptop o.o i just did a full wipe of my hard drive (the people at the apple store did it so i would not fuck up) and i STILL have shit fps. Will updating the drivers really do that much?

  • @soryn305

Yeah I don't really know how his fps is so high. Tbh the 320m is a pretty shoddy graphics card. There's something fishy going on here...

  • @dannybighair yeah >.> hmmm hopefully the guy who made this vid will respond. My imac downstairs runs at 60 fps but it does not have snow lep. , could snow lep. be the reason my laptop runs so slowly on low settings with a wiped HD?

  • @soryn305

No I believe that snow leopard will actually help your laptop to get better performance so thats not the reason why your laptop runs WoW so poorly.

I really would like to help you, but it's quite hard when I don't have access to you laptop. Good luck m8

  • @dannybighair

hehe funny that people say that.

Well I thought that every macbook pro 13 with nvidia 320m would have the exact performance.

Every single shot in this video is taken while playing WoW on my macbook pro13 in june 2010.

the 320m is actually not that bad, it has a good balance between low power consumtion and performance.

Mind you, WoW is a 6year old game so it should't be a problem to get great fps ingame.

  • @AngelinoCalavera

But since the shattering took place in late november, that patch made changes to the graphic in the game aswell.

Everything from water to shadows and textures have better quality now.

What you need to do is to set water and shadow to low and that should do the trick. I don't own the macbook pro anymore cause I bought myself an Imac 27 so I can't be sure that those changes in the setting will suffice, but give it a try atleast, and good luck

  • If you have the latest snow leopard and all the drivers updated you should be fine.

If you still have problem with running WoW I can guarantee you that somethings wrong with your macbook.

The only purpose of this video is to educate people in how their settings should be for maximum performance and graphic quality.

Send me a note if you want me to help you more!

    Cheers

  • you can increase the settings further like the farclip and groundeffectdensity etc by using console commands.

  • do you still get this fps currently or has it lowered and would you suggest getting this macbok for WOW?

  • @futbolgamer I'ts the same FPS as before.

Yes I would really recommend this laptop. However, if you have the extra cash or must have a bigger screen, the cheapest 15inch macbook pro is a great choice aswell, but it will not be as portable as the 13inch.

  • @AngelinoCalavera dude i have the same laptop and i did a full Hard drive wipe and i have like 7 fps. I have about 30 latency as well. Can you help me out oh and btw all my settings are as low as possible.

  • WoW is great on my 13 MBP...getting up to 120FPS in Org and 30-50 fps in dalaran! hehe

  • hmmm so you used bootcamp or something? you dint install this on OSX?

  • @mickey915 yes I've installed it directly to OSX. World of warcraft supports both OSX and Windows computers

  • Very impressive! One of my woes for getting one of the cheaper Macbook Pros was performance, but now I see that that apparently isn't the case. Thank you!!

  • @roflbiscuit Np =)

  • did you have to download rosetta when you installed it on your macbook pro 13? i installed it on mine to install WoW...will rosetta slow down or make your fps lower ?

  • @mickey915 I have never used rosetta

  • @mickey915 You should NOT be running Rosetta in order to run WoW.

  • Lol your a dranei.

  • Just picked up my mac book pro today, looking forward to playing some wow. :)

  • @RottenJeeves

Enjoy playing WoW on the go =)

  • @AngelinoCalavera for sure.

  • thank you very much for posting this vid! i am a pc gamer but when my gaming pc died *because the movers did not package it right! and dropped it!* I couldnt find the money to replace it! i mean i had atleast 40 going in dala and this showed me that i can trust my mac to play wow and other games! I was first buying a mac since i am going to pursue music but now i can enjoy both worlds!

  • Sorry to hear about your pc.

Yeah I was myself surprised the first time I played WoW on mac, it's a beast =)

  • noob question: how do I show my FPS in game?

  • @GrandMasterJ14

    press ctrl + r

and sorry for the late answer, been on vacation ^^

  • Why don't you run Wrath of the Lich King videos only. Any cpu can run Vanilla wow.

  • I think i'll buy an Asus laptop, with the following specs.

    i5 430M 2.26 ghz

    DDR3(4gig RAM)

    Nvidia GT325M

    16' screen

    500HD 5400RPM

Will my laptop run WoW on maxed graphics even better than this macbook?

    Please reply!:) Greetings, Max.

  • @zim3x

    G'day Max.

Yes the Asus will run WoW on max settings without any problem.

When compared to this macbook, the Asus will be about 1.5times faster.

Good luck with you laptop purchase!

  • @AngelinoCalavera

Appriciate, thanks man, for the fast reply!

    Greetings, Max.

  • @zim3x NOOOOOOO!!! GET A CYBERPOWER RIG! WITH THE FOLLOWING SPECS!

    8GB RAM DDR3 1600mhz

    3.1GHz quad core i7

ATI Radeon 5970 thats my specs and i reccomend them! ^.^

  • @zim3x How much does that computer cost.? with that spec

  • @MrParkourLawl

I have a sony vaio now. i5, 4 gig ram DDR3, HD5650 and its a very nice laptop, altho the battery aint long. I bought it 2nd handed from a good mate for 650 euro's. But new it's 850,- I believe.

  • thanks bro for the info...btw i get the macbook pro 15 inch i7 from best buy nd im loving it.. damn fast.......

  • hey my birthday is in saturday...now i have a old imac that cant run the game very well i only get 1-3 fps in dal ......im gonna buy a macbook pro today but idk wich one :the macbook pro 15 inch or the 13 inch .... is the intel core i5 much much powerfull than the intel core 2 duo ?? plz i want to knw

  • @ReMiiX94

The biggest difference between the 13 and 15 is:

i5processor and better graphic card with built in memory.

From different test that I have read you will get twice the power with the 15inch version.

But in my opinion the price difference is huge and not worth it + you will get a more portable laptop with the 13inch which has more battery life aswell.

I'm a gamer, and for me the power of the 13inch is more than enough!

  • @SirSafer

    Happy to help =)

  • @SirSafer

Thanks for the concern! But I have to say that you are wrong. It's very normal for a c2d processor to reach around 90C in load when running on a mac. The processor will begin to take damage when it reaches temps over 115C and the computer have a failsafe that will prevent that from happening.

So 68C is very cool actually for a c2d on a mac.

But thx for the concern m8 =)

  • Could you do a little testing for me, I'm about to purchased the new mb pro and was wondering how it will run with these settings:

    antialiasing 2x

everything maxed out and on, except shadow turned off, and view distance 3/4.

    Thanks!

  • @ll0ii

Sure thing! I will test those settings tomorrow.

I will get back to you, not with a video but with fps results from stormwind, flying in shattrah city and dalaran.

    Talk to you soon

  • @ll0ii

I have tested the game with the settings you asked for and got the following:

    dalaran ~30

    stormwind ~60

    flying over shattrah city ~40

I would still recommend my own settings, because the game really looks much better with shadows + the fps gain.

  • Awesome video and thanks for the shout out, Angelino. It was nice to see the optimal settings that you used and the performance definitely increases significantly.

  • @KadMac25

Glad you enjoyed it =) Going from 2x multisampling to 1x makes alot of difference.

I hope that you don't mind that I mentioned your name in the video info.

  • @AngelinoCalavera Don't mind at all!

  • Awesome tips!

  • @MrNorway321

    My pleasure =)
