  • Apparently the producer of this video isn't aware of the facts about our monetary system. Printing money out of thin air destroys sovereignty, destroys economies.

Also, unaware of the plan to destroy America by dismantling industry on the claims of global warming.

I mean since mainstream media won't report on the truth and your here speaking to 'change' start by research on the plan mentioned and the federal reserve.

  • awesome video!!

  • It's only going to get worse because the people are not empowered to affect any positive change. Talk all we want, nothing is going to get better, hollow rhetoric. A big crash is coming and then the rich can join the ranks of the protest too. It's almost laughable really.... no it is laughable! How did they bring down the Nazis?

  • I really hate to feel this way, but denekawa is right. The current Empire will have to fall, it's too late to "fix" anything. Unfortunately, the military-industrial-complex that Eisenhower warned us about has branched out into healthcare, entitlement programs and mass media.

At this point, it seems that our only choice is to opt-out. But, where does that leave us? More to the point, where does it leave our progeny?

I'll fight 'til I die, but if I die trying, what was the point?

  • Better to insist on knowing what organizations prospective politicians belong to and what oaths they have taken.

  • The influence is fed by the Federal Reserve Bank giveing a blank check to the US government by the same bank being able to issue unlimited amounts of fiat money at intrest. The govenrment never has to pay these bogus loans back because the IRS will steal money from the people justified by these bogus debts the Federal Reserve Bank the IRS and the debt issue of money must stop. I AM NOT A DEBT SLAVE. I am free.

  • Due to lack of gold-based values since the 90's and the most effective way to trigger the dopamine system, money is THE MOST HARDEST DRUG ON EARTH, forgotten to be banned by Anslinger, if he would have been as consequent, as he intended to be; because you don't have to flee into illusions of a better world - YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN WORLD!!!

Therefore it's the MOST conscious-altering substance, which, being analyzed on substance abuse measures, should be PROHIBITED for the best of human race!

  • Excellent approach, kick the addictions.

  • The only real change will begin when gov stops printing money out of thin air. Stop the unconstitutional federal reserve, income tax on avg citizens living and working in the states, and STOP all foreign, corporate and special interest ENTITLEMENTS.

  • We need to change who runs for congress.

Congress should be neither Dem or rep, but independent.

That way we the people have a say though our Representative. Unlike what happens now, where the member votes on party alliance.

Any Congress or senate member accepting Bribes (lobbyists contributions would be charged with TREASON.)

I'm not in Cal, but Run Man, Run.

    we are behind you.

  • I completely agree. I'm really sick of our two party system and the voting blocks of party liners. None of these people represent their citizens any longer. They only care when they're about to be up for reelection.

  • Change starts with U.S. us.

  • Top shelf

  • Professor Lawrence, I admire your commitment to bring about positive change to our broken system, and I highly encourage you to do it. I'm a Democrat and I would vote for you, and I will donate to your campaign. You offer innovative ideas that I respect and appreciate and they are very promising. I've only recently gotten politically involved due to Obama. I've never heard of Jackie Spier until now and will do some research on her. You are amazing for making these videos, always educational

  • CFR is fundamental, but are you an activist or a politician? You can't do both.

  • RE: LoPhatt's comment.

Our constitution allows for both because it written by activist who became politicians. What we have today is what they overcame, an oppressed people being systematically fleeced.

  • do it!

  • Their is no such thing as man made global warming!

  • and building 7 committed suicide.

  • Yeah, for sure!

Let's pop some more Prozac's to get rid of feeling like slaves and grin like degenerated clowns...!

"Government" - an insult like "reform"!

Ain't got nothing to do with the original meanings! Even diction is conquered by dark neo-medieval

  • [??? what was that? Haven't finished, yet!!]

    ...institutions.

    [NOW, I've finished, darn system!]

  • RUN for CONGRESS!

    PLEASE. I support you.

  • Changing congress will not come easy. I admire your idea and vision. You have my support.

  • I support you larry. Wish I was in the Cali 12th

  • Droning on as words appear letter by letter is not going to produce any change I want to see occur.

  • See Garatian's comment. Or perhaps you think he just needed an acoustic guitar?

  • In a sense, these are very constructive criticisms. If you can't keep people focuses on your message long enough to understand it, the message will not spread and therefore there will be no grassroots movement. Charisma and good oratory skills do count for something, but it should not be the ONLY thing that counts. I found it difficult to stay focused on this video. It was too monotone and not succinct enough.

  • Go Larry!!! You'll be great in Congress.

  • Holy Moly, you read my mind (and the minds of all of my friends).

    I support you

  • BOO!!!

This guy wants less freedom! BOOO!!

  • How does he want less freedom? This makes no sense. Members of congress are free to choose to accept contributions from corporations, and voters are free to choose not to elect such people.

  • There needs to be more transparency to where candidates' money comes from. I have a great idea. No candidate for any office should be able to SPEND any more than 100 x the annual salary at the current minimum wage. Wonder where that will take us? :-)

  • i support your ideas!

  • gogogogogogogogo

  • John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are all members of the Council on Foriegn Relations. All will continue Bush's legacy, war on terror, and war in Iraq. This needs to change too.

  • How do you draw that conclusion?

  • If you have been listening to all of what these three have said during debates and interviews, you'd come to that conclusion too.

  • Actually, I find what Obama says is vastly different than either McCain or Clinton. How can you say "leave as soon as possible" is the same as "I can imagine staying for 100 years"

  • Because Obama isn't planning on withdrawing all troops. He will remove combat troops but we would have military there indefinitely. He wants to increase the military budget. The US already spends more than the rest of the world combined on its military budget. How much more of our taxes should go towards this? We can't afford it. At this point, most of our tax money is only paying INTEREST on our debts. This needs to stop.

  • pt2. I really wish the Obama supporters would wake up. In the last week alone, he has backpeddled on at least 3 issues. He now says he doesn't think NAFTA is that bad. He rolled over on telecom immunity with the FISA bill. I don't even care that much about the campaign financing thing, but he isn't true to his word. He lacks integrity. He continues to fund the war in Iraq, he goes along with voting for bills that include funding for it. If he was really against this war... he would stop funding.

  • I have never been a fan of Backtrack Obama - so it is nice to see how former Obamaniacs are seeing a new face on this man.

With a new face in executive politics & the Democrat label he has been GIVEN a pass by most progressives & liberals.

Were he to turn out to be actually a Republican in sheep's clothing (a la Clinton) we may wake up in Nov 08 with no better future than with McWar.

I will be voting for the most progressive 3rd party candidate - any ideas?

  • Nader. Or possibly McKinney (I believe she'll win the Green nomination). I'm voting Nader. He's got the most support and most recognition and he has officially endorsed the National Initiative that Senator Gravel introduced. I can trust Nader. Not Obama. Not McCain. Not Barr.

  • Boring!

  • You think this is what will create change? You're thinking small and definitely not at the root of the problem. Lobbyists exist because of big ever expanding socialist government. It's this ideology of government that is the disease. All you are proposing is patching a symptom with more regulation.

  • Its unfair to claim "All you are proposing is patching a symptom with more regulation." Lobbyists exist to make sure big corporations get what they want, this involves paying off politicians one way or another. End that and it will do wonders for Government.

  • Exactly and you missed the point at the same time. The reason big corporate lobbyists are there is due to big government. In free market competition business would have to succeed on their own. In our current socialist government it subsidizes, manipulates, steals and redistributes wealth by force.

Since that's where the money is (stolen from the tax payer) that's where big business has flock to now, why compete when a lobbyist can bring big profits with little effort.

  • The problem here is that no matter how nice the idea of a free market is, it's ruthless. You talk about business having to succeed on their own but you shouldn't forget that people also need to survive. In your free market would there be unions? Or would they be illegal? Who protects the individual when business does succeed?

  • He's not proposing more regulation but rather self-regulation. The change he hopes to create will be done by example. If he could win based on being honest and showing courage for standing up for what he believes in rather than what a lobbyist has told him to believe, then OTHER politicians will get in on the new game. This can only work if we (well you cuz I can't) vote for him.

  • I disagree. What we have is not socialist government. It's corporate welfare. That's vastly different. If we had a truly socialist government, would we still be declining in education, life expectancy, health care, etc. compared to all other industrialized nations? I don't think so.

  • if only your computer wasn't 10 years old and was able to actually process and render this type of presentation, i would have been able to watch more than 40 seconds. too choppy for me

  • What you need to work on is the ignorance and indifference of people towards your cause. You do not need to be in congress to change that. Then, after you achieve this, you should run for congress. Now it will be a waste of money/time like what Ron Paul's candidacy.

  • Ron Paul still has a shot. Its all about the delegates. Besides Ron Paul's campaign has had an effect on the GOP. Thats a fact brother. Google it, I dare you!

  • Lessig got mine support! If you dont, who will have the backup. I guess you can bet on getting BIG money bombs from Digg, so dont worry about the cash! Go go!

  • I'de vote for you were I a member of that district

  • You have MY support!

  • What do you have against the last letter in words? Also what type of speech problem do you have that makes you sound like William Shatner?

  • Run. Do it. I live in Missouri, but wish you the best. Everything you said in this video desperately needs to be heard.

  • I would need to know more about other issues you support, but if this vid is any indication, you are definately my kind of congressman.

Also, slighly confussed, You mentioned running for california's fightin' 12th, but that you would be running against a senator. could some one clearify.

  • I think your movement can be bipartisian. I am on the complete opposite spectrum of politics then progressives. But I can agree with removing ear marks, kicking out the lobbyist and PAC money. But I don't agree with the public funding of campaigns. Anyways I am just saying it is possible to get this thing going bipartisan a congressman on the right that you can recruit for this cause is Jeff Flake

  • Or, even better, how about instead of bipartisan, make it NONpartisan. I, for one, am sick of this two party corrupt system. At this point, I'm considering never voting for a Dem or Rep again.

  • I agree with this message and this idea, but I agree with feuchtster about learning more about your platform before supporting you. If anything, I support your candidacy solely for the influence your campaign would have on other candidates running for Congres around the country.

  • That's it? Come on man, I've been watching this for about 30 seconds and I'm already sleepy. I think you need some fast-paced music, or laser beams. And sharks. Definitely sharks. Possibly british hitmen. Like in In Bruges. That's a good movie. Very entertaining. Except the guy throwing himself off a big tower. That was gross. Yeah...

Hold on. Wtf am I talking about?

  • I'd have to learn more about your platform before getting enthusiastic about supporting you.

  • I believe in you!

  • Changing Congress in Washington is the prerequisite for focusing these representatives back where they were supposed to be, on protecting citizen freedoms, not protecting their money funnels without regard to citizens.

  • You stay away from my money funnel!
