mm no... actually, the songs is not about his sick mother or anything, the meaning of the song, and well in my opinion it makes sense, is that the color YELLOW for them is a beautiful color, so they sing it was all YELLOW because it is something so beautiful they use that word to describe their feelings, just like with The Beatles song, ''Yellow Submarine'' why did they choose that color? Because they think of it as beautiful
