the way that it works is that the frame is to parts one on the wall and one on the elevator then the elevator moves down and shows the rest of the picture thumbs up if this helps you understand how this trick works

the room is not really streahing its a elevator you start at the top and slowly move down and part of the frame is on the elevator and another one on the wall at the top of the elevator thumps up if this helps you understand how it works

There are two versions of the ride(elevator). This is one of them, the other is when they reset it (after everyone leaves) the ceiling the the one moving, pushing the painting back to place. I would love to see a more elabrate version.

The neon colour was because I shined light into the room as it was too dark. The room is painted yellow actually. I will improvise, thank you for the suggestion :)
