  • Where can i get one lol

  • hey man i have a mix golden lady amherst too =] do u know how long it takes them to get there full color??

  • can these be kept with chickens?

  • @nicholasbhicks Yes, but they require a covered coop as they are not very tame and will fly away.

  • @nicholasbhicks yes you can and that dude should get ride of those birds they make for bad blood lines

  • oh thanks do u still have your turkeys or did they die from to much weight? I had two midget white turkeys that died randomly at 7 month old.

  • @portugal5698 They are still with me. I expect them to keel over any day, but so far they are happy and healthy! :-)

  • do they get along with chickens and do they fly away when you let them free range?

  • @portugal5698

They get along fine with chickens and turkeys. They keep to themselves, for the most part. I don't let them free range because they would fly away, and also I have so many predators around here. They have a huge enclosure and they like that just fine. :-)

  • Hate to tell ya but that isn't a red golden it is a golden lady amherst mix not sure about the hen but all the blue on the cock gives him away. And 40 is what pure young breeding pairs go for in the spring it is top dollar. There is nothing wrong with keeping these mixes to have something nice to look at (they are pretty)just don't try to market your babies as pure Red Golden.

  • Thanks - I have already been told that. But you are correct, they are pretty. I have no intentions of breeding them (as pure strains) so no worries about ethics.

  • Didn't meen to come off critical just making sure you knew, lots of opinions on it in the right crowd. I'm sure babies would still have an outlet some where. Just make sure you don't over crowd them and you should have lots of fun with them.

  • is it named after barack obama?

  • Yes, but his name has evolved into Rocky.

  • lol if i named my animals after a politician every1 would think i am crazy!

  • Everyone already KNOWS I am crazy! :-)

  • lol

  • do they eat chicken food? or is there a different kind of food they eat?

  • Mine each chicken food and they seem to be doing OK on it.

  • There phoenix pheasants. That is Golden pheasant/Lady Amherst pheasant hybrids.

  • I have discovered that they are not red golden pheasants, but I still think they are gorgeous. Thanks for the info! I have changed the information about this video so it doesn't look like I am trying to misrepresent what these birds are.

  • Can you tell me how much the pair cost you

  • I paid $40 for the pair.

  • Thanks

  • Those are not Red golden pheasants, they are both red golden pheasants mixed with a lady amhearst pheasant. they are worthless

  • They are not worthless to me. But thanks for the info.

  • lol love it
