People, chill. It's just one take you're hearing. You have no idea if this take will even be used, and it likely won't (not just by the weird delivery, but by the fact that there are probably very many takes from which to choose).

It is a little over the top and cringe-worthy when taken out of context like this. There are a million Tennant lines that would also sound as bad on raw audio. It's nothing to go by.
