  • Engines: Locomotives, and I love them... The closest to NS I have is a N&W GP38-2 by LifeLike

  • nice setup, I wish I could set up a room in my house, my wife would murder me if I went that far.

  • Incredible sir! Cant wait to see what else you have in store for us :D

  • LOOKS AWESOME

  • Hey, nice train layout, i like the railroad yard you made.

  • do you still have those MP-15DCs @: 1:18? I need some for this one that i got at a train show!!!!!

  • Glad I watched this vid. Your layout seems a lot less confusing and not as big as I thought it was. Still a big layout.

  • nice tour and a really kool layout...)

  • where did you get the engine shop with platforms?? thats exactly what i been looking for...

  • Its part of the walthers corner stone searies and unfortunately i dont know the number for it.

  • i have a sd70 mac santa fe and it is sweet

  • wow! how long did that take and how did you do it?

  • I have the BNSF version of that SD60M from PROTO 2000. It has the 3 windows too

  • are you guys going to switch to the new digitrax controlers the dt402s?

  • great layout

  • Thanks!

  • Great job - can't wait for future updates. - Kevin

  • Thanks!

  • hey man that is soo coool expecially by the door HOW MUCH MONEY DID U SPEND????

  • You are seriously one talented man! Good work!

  • holy shit ur talented.... :D im speechless.. how much time and money have spent so far and i so xant wait till the ;layout is finished

  • i love it

  • i love your layout .there arent to many ns modelers out there i here alot of great things about dcc but i have to many locos (150)right now it would be really expensive to convert all that over ,great layout and set up

  • Nice layout. How big is it. What is that

black thing that is in the DCC cabnet with

    the number readout on it?

  • Thanks! It about 23 by 23. The black box is a meeter that measures the amps exiting the DCC booster. It lets us know how many amps we are pulling to make sure that we dont overload the system.

  • how many amps do you need for your layout? like what sort of power boosters are you using? im redoing my layout and it is going to need a new system and i think i might switch to digitrax.....

  • It depends on how many trains we're running, but usually we pull about 5amps with all the engines running.. We have a Digitrax 20 amp power booster and it runs through 4 circut breakers. Sweet! Well if u get it ime sure youll like it! I really like the Digitrax system

  • ahhah dang man!!!!! thats cool thanks for the info man!

  • Anytime!

  • This is one of the best layouts I have ever seen!!! Great Job!

  • Thank you!!! Means alot!

    -Josh

  • Do you have a wb site? I'd like to see the layout on paper. Nice. Were are you located? Can I bing my roster and run on your layout?

  • No we dont yet. In WNC. Ya maby sometime when we finish laying the track and wiring it up!

  • how large is this layout

what size room do you have it in

    looks awsome so far

    it the video updates coming!!!

  • The room and layout is about 23 by 23 and Its in our basement. Thanks!

  • holy****! nice layout! you just earned yourself a new suscriber!

you should make the track that disconnects by the door so that if it is disconnected, it cuts power for a small section of track so you don't have any acidents.

  • Thanks! It already does that. When the door is opened, it shuts off power for about 2-3 feet in both directions!

  • cool!

  • man you must have a big power booster for all that track and loco and sound locos damn. what dcc system do you use? very sweet layout

  • We do! and we use a Digitrax super chief. Thanks

  • wow! awesome. and is this your personal layout or will there be lots of people operating it like a club layout kinda thing? very awesome engine facility too i just got an idea from yours!

  • Thanks! Its our personal layout, but when we finish the track we will have people over every once in a while to run. thanks! Cool!

  • thats cool man goodluck. waittt one more question....haha are you going to have like a layout update vids? cause that would be pretty damn cool man.

  • thanx! lol yes I will! Ime about to post a video of the climb! weve layed track an about half of it!

  • thank you, might I ask who is funding the layout?

  • This our home layout.

  • who made your track?

  • atlas

  • your trains look very nice

  • Very very nice Kato and atlas make an outstanding engine i like that tower you have

  • Thank you! The kato sd80mac has a loksound decoder in it that i recently installed, but we are having problems with the volume. You can barely hear it and i think its because i need a box for the speaker.

  • Awesome layout!!

    and sweet stuff you got!!

  • thanks!

  • Very nice, looks like another year of work, thanks 4 keeping us posted. Great Job

  • yep! Your Welcome! Thanks!

  • how did you make the pull out door with out having dead spots in the track

  • the door is wired so there is constant power to it. when you open the door however, track power stops for 3 feet in both directions from the door!

  • how are you going to scenic the climb to the upper level? Seems like quite a challenge to build

  • on the penisula there is going to be a velley in the center with a big bridge at the end.. Its something unique because most seem to be mountains... there is going to be a small town at the top of the climb and the upper level yard is going to be a paperplant. but there will be lots of mountains and tree's. the layout sceney will be based on the smokey mountains in NC.

  • Now THATS a nice Layout.

    bigger than mine......not jealous tho..lol

what im jealous is, you have more NS locomotives than me! haha.

Your layouts VERY well planned out. my hat goes off to you!! I cant wait to see a full run around the layout with your trains!

  • lol thank you very much.

Its coming. weve almost got the track finished and wired on the climb now! Ill get a video up when its completed...

  • Cool Layout!

You Know You Should Make Like.. Monthly Layout Updates Or Something Like I Really Like Your Yard And Every Thing! Check Out Mine If You Want Too Mines ALOT Smaller Than Yours Though!

Im Just Wondering But How Big Is That Room?? AWESOME Looking Layout Though!!!

  • thanks you! the room and layout are about 23 by 23... thanks!

  • WOW lol Thats Alot Bigger Than Mine!

  • what kind of track do you use?

  • we use a Digitrax DCC system and Atlas code 100 track.

  • Thanks for the info I plan on using Digitrax also but with Atlas code 83 track and Walthers turnouts.

  • anytime! cool! we were going to use code 83, but we needed lots of curved turnouts and we couldnt find any and we didnt want to have to cutom make them...

  • I don't blame you either I do not want to even try to hand lay track. I give props to the people that have the time an money to custom make track and turnouts!!!!

  • yeah. Me too. They look great but they are very time consuming and take alot of skill.

  • That they do!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • that's a great layout! can i have it? lol

i can't wait 'til you finish it! how long do you think it will take? mine only takes a week to redo so i'm already finished with it! (i'll make a video of it on Friday if you wanted to know) anyway that's an awesome layout!

  • lol Thanks! sweet!
