I visited your country 2 years ago and fell in love with it. I am mexican and my twin sister has lived there for 24 years. I requested her to bring me a didgeridoo and she did last year. It's beautifully painted with bright orange color with a crock. I'd love to learn to play it.

[]i learned how to do the circular breathing by using a straw and a cup with wathr .what u do start bubbles going as slow as posible,then with the cheeks and toung keep the vibe going as u breath in .it took like five min .but u r a natural keep it up .wait until u have an experiance ,or u may have already .if so do tell.

Women play the didgeridoo better then most men. It may be a tradition in some tribes but not on the inland of the United States. Women are strong and deserve the same rights as men. This young woman has skill. I hope she never stops.

This is not because they are sexist, it is because it is known/thought to ruin their reproductive system.

So it is a common aboriginal law that women cannot play.

I think women are forbidden to play the didgeridoo at FORMAL occasions like at traditional ceremonies. I'm not sure if the are allowed to play it informally though. I remember that when I went on camp a few years ago, the Aboriginal lady said she was not allowed to play it.

you've got the general hang of it, good job. the breathing part is a bit tricky but the instrument you are using does not look like it is helping. it is a cheap bali reproduction probably with a large mouthpiece and low backpressure - not easy to circular breathe on something like that.
