  • this is beautiful!! really clear voices and nice sound :o)

  • Очень понравилось)))) звук ровный, чистый, хрустальный. Долголетия и процветания.

  • how could anyone dislike this? the blend, the balance is perfect. i wish my choir sounded like this.

  • This shits off the hook

  • Truly, this is "music from on high". Thank you for your invaluable work.

  • this is absolutely amazing. end of story. there's no other way to describe it.

  • These people are fabulous singers with beautiful voices. I love listening to this song, particularly since it's clear that a lot of effort went into it -- and that effort produced a great product. Thank you for posting this here for us to listen to! I intend to listen to this ensemble more in the near future.

  • absolutely incredible! This past June, my university's choir competed in the Anton Bruckner international choral competition in Linz, Austria. The 20 choirs were all required to sing this piece, and not a single group stayed in tune or came close to the beauty that you bring. Congratulations

  • Hanslic made three youtube accounts to dislike this video.

  • the amount of time that bruckner studied is insane! in my opinion he is one of the finest composers of choral music, I wish modern music was this good

  • LOL Um It's a live performance without editing. I think we did fine thank you:-)

  • This is the best version on YouTube. Without doubt. Great performance I could listen to 0:35-0:50 all day.

  • what kind of music is this?

  • @werewolf15orlando I'd call it beautiful, but that's probably not the answer you were looking for...

  • @OfGreatLakes Well played

  • @werewolf15orlando Hah, thanks! I wish I knew more about the "genre" or "style" too--looking up the composer of this piece (Bruckner), it's from the Romantic era of classical music, and likely of religious. That said, some contemporary music may be good too. You might do well to subscribe to the Antioch Ensemble's channel and recordings, investigate the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, and explore from there in other chamber vocal/choir ensembles. Happy listening and cheers from the U.S.!

  • @OfGreatLakes I already subscribed, and I will. Thank you very much

  • I've been a singer for 12 years and this is and shall always be my farovite song :)

  • Wow...what a beautiful rendition! I've only sung this as a massed choir, it was a lovely contrast to hear it sung by a chamber ensemble. Bravo/brava to all the singers!

  • I think this is the best Os Justi I have heard on YouTube. Very well done!

  • What a clear and beautifully performed piece.

  • I had to sing this for pre-area. I placed 16th out of 15. It sucksss.

  • i sang this for nebraska all state choir

  • @tehtehHAWS what was the conductors name, do you remember?

  • A beautiful and very musical performance of a wonderful piece. Thanks for sharing.

  • 2:03 is best ;)

  • @parzenbua that little kids solo is awesome

  • Hey, I heard Bruckner did a version of this... ;) absolutely spectacular! My high school ensemble did this piece and I was a tenor I in and it was truely a hard piece. Fantastic Job. I miss singing in a group. Im in college now and the choir here at my college is no where near the caliber of what my high school was. :/

  • Großartig!

  • glorious... thank u...

  • glorious. thank you.

  • This is absolutely the most perfect communication of beauty in this format I have ever come across. It brings a tear to my eye that we are capable of reaching such divine heights. All I can do is express my sincere gratitude for your magnificent artistry. Long may you sing together!

  • The core spirit of catholizism - listen to the music and you will unerstand it. Anton Bruckner is our Paul Gerhardt.

  • Thank you for performing one of the most beautiful renditions of this piece I have ever heard.

  • FAVORITE CHORAL PIECE. FAVORITE PERFORMANCE OF IT. PERIOD. <3

  • jaw dropping......Im going to be singing for my California All-State choir and well be singing it this year

  • @suponc heyy me too i'll see you there lol

  • @mirandalikespie XD cant wait

  • Comment removed

  • i tried out for the texas state choir with this piece and i think its just beautiful. no i didnt make it but it was an honor learning, practicing, and singing this majestic piece of musical elegance for months in the process. good job to this choir, bravo! :D

  • Psalms 37:30-31 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of God is in his heart: none of his steps shall slide.

( Os Justi meditabitur sapientiam, et lingua ejus loquetur judicium. Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius, et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus).

  • This recording is IMMACULATE and precise consistently!!! WOW... Earth-Shattering performance well done!!!

  • Wunderschön!

    Vielen Dank!

  • Oh my god. Can anything be more beautiful than this?

  • This has always been one of those pieces that when I hear it performed well, it touches my soul. Wonderful performance. However, I wish that the tenor and bass voices where a little more present in this recording. It amazes me how in many professional performing ensembles, the lower voices don't record or carry as well as the upper voices. More conductors need to take a step back and spend more time listening for a balance from a distance. That is the best way to judge ensemble balance.

  • @MrNeilsy

AGREEEEEDDD. With EVERYTHING you mentioned above.

  • @MrNeilsy - i've heard way too many choirs w/ tenors that stick out b/c of poor vocal training & basses w/ their booming voices that drag the whole choir down a few keys. i'd rather hear voices that are in control like these. on a recording the men do seem more subtle. i suggest seeing them live as i have. basses are for support, not 'hey listen to my great voice!' the inner voices BLEND the beautiful harmonies...not overpower the melody, which should above all always be heard over everything.

  • Near perfect vocal performances, balance and blend in the choir is truly enviable! Having said that, for all it's technical accomplishments, I am disappointed that the conductor doesn't take more risks in shaping the phrases and varying tempos a little. Nit-picking though. Marvellous.

  • This is my district's pre-audition piece this year, but no way our district will sound this amazing

  • wow. that was amazing.

  • bravissimi......se penso che era una esecuzione dal vivo rabbrividisco davanti alla loro giustezza!!!!semplicemente divini..credo che il buon vecchio anton sia fiero di loro!!!!

  • Beautiful...

  • this made me melt..

  • ULTRALIKE.

  • Cool. :] Which song?

  • @KittyKidAngel Psalm 23 haha.... i fell in love with it during UIL... now i'm just happy that i get to sing it again. :D

  • @ElizabethAmara That's weird. O.o The girl's in the varsity choir at my school did that for UIL too. And the whole varsity choir did Gloria. :[ I made it to varsity for the first time this year. :] I actually like Psalm 23 a lot. The melody is really pretty.

  • This is one of my Allstate songs and its really great to have such a great guide :)

  • @ElizabethAmara indeed ;D

  • @ElizabethAmara

im guessing your from texas? :)

  • @ElizabethAmara lol. I'm doing this for TMEA too. :] I can't wait to perform this one.

It's so pretty. :P I'm a Bass 1 from region 15. What voice part do you sing?

  • @KittyKidAngel I Sing soprano 2 cause one os the songs i learned for UIL and so i know that song in that part so ill be a soprano 2 for allstate.. ^_^

  • @ElizabethAmara Soprano II's on top! I'm so excited about this piece...

  • Beautiful! Love listening to you guys.

  • best performence by far the altos are really helping me out. this is an allstate piece for texas allstate choir this year and so far it is my favorite

  • WOW!! 8-part divisi in such a small ensemble, and they sound so balanced and pure! I am thrilled to have found this....now if they could've just muzzled that kid @ 2:00...lol

    Beautifully done, gang!! :-)

  • I would do anything to go back in time and witness this live.

    Bravo

  • absolutely amazing!

  • Shivers, absolute shivers overwhelmed me as I listened to the pure beauty this performance produced. This is the best version on Youtube…or any CD for that matter. Having a great balance with such strong altos, floating sopranos, lovely tenors, and powerful basses is phenomenal. I can’t stop listening to it.

  • wow. just wow

  • this is the BEST version i've heard! thank-you SO MUCH for putting this up! good-god soprano

  • 00:41 = absolutely overwhelming.

  • Well. You all started perfectly in tune and then you actually went *flat*. At least that's better than going sharp like in all the other ones I've heard.

This is one of the best versions on here regardless of the pitch.

  • @robotsmaycry had they gone 'flat' as you claim...they wouldn't have come home with first place honors in both categories from an international invitation-only choral competition with only a select number of ensembles from across the world competing. check your hearing aid...

  • @CMsunshinePA the altos go flat on their starting pitch during their solo line. It's very slight, but it is there. They are very good, and very deserving of the rewards they had gotten, no one is questioning that. So please, chill out. Calm down. Thanks. :)

  • This piece reminds me so much of Rachmaninoff's "Bogoroditse Djevo"

    Very well done.

  • @DreamyGeist Yeah... true that hey.. you must hear the Rendition by Singkronies Chamber choir

  • "The law of God is in His heart and His feet do not falter." This piece moves me to a place where there are no words. The translation is one of the most comforting things I've ever heard. Thank you for sharing this.

  • @shawniqwa I agree, the translation makes this piece even more beautiful.

  • Absolutely sensational!!!

Very movingly sung, and the intonation just perfect

  • A truly great gradual. An amazing performance of when composers started using the church modes again in the late 19th Century. This one is in Lydian if you're wondering.

  • Lovely, one of the great choral pieces beautifully performed.

  • this calms me down and puts a smile on my face time and time again. and again...

  • Amazing opus!!! I loved it since the first time I heard and sang it... Excellent choir!

  • I love love LOVE this song. It was on a recruiting cd to my college and I have loved it since I heard it. I'm a senior now, and this is my last semester in choir =/. It makes me happy that we are singing this song. I love the balance and tone of this chamber group, as well as the dynamic contrasts. Absolutely AMAZING

  • We were just assigned this song in choir today, and it's so beautiful! I love it! [^-^]

  • I'm singing this piece in a choir, which is not this professional... and although our sopranos haven't this great voice in the high notes, still they aren't experienced singers, you see, how the music still breaks out of the deepest center of our earth through by "lex dei"... it is like just like this music would take the best out of everyone and show us, that everyone of us is beautiful.

Thank you for this interpretation - the best one on youtube!

  • @gwozdezzz I have to a agree, this is one of the best offerings of this work on YouTube.

  • lex dei = <3 in corde = <33333 love itttt!!!

  • This is the best Os Justi performance on the planet! Gives me chill bumps

  • I am watching this for X-th time now. Inspiring and beautiful.

  • This is beautiful.

  • che dire? sono estasiata... bellissimo pezzo e grande interpretazione, finalmente non sento acuti urlati...

  • English Translation:

what to say? I'm ecstatic ... beautiful piece and great performance at last I feel a perfect performance ..

  • [The mouths of the just utter wisdom; their tongues speak what is right. God's teaching is in their hearts; their steps do not falter.] Psalm 37:30-31

  • My Choir is singing thiiiiis <3

  • perhaps one of the great motets in music literature....

and not a bad performance, either...

  • i love this song, i have been singing the alto part all day!

  • this song is so beautiful and this singers are so great.even if i'm in a choir, my singing-skills aren't just a little bit as improved as their skills, i love them.

  • really unbelievable! such sound by live concert! i don´t know any better recording of this piece even on CD... to be at their concert and to die:-)

  • A well balanced group of singers presenting a most enjoyable listening experience! TY antiochonline!

  • Fantastic. By far the best performance of this piece I've ever heard.

  • Oh wow.

  • Very very good! I love the sound of only 12 people, and this beautifull piece of Bruckner.

    Great job!

  • beautiful music. wonderful performance.

  • I never usually comment, but felt compelled to in this instance. This is the best I've heard of this piece live, recorded or otherwise. Almost flawless. Congratulations xox

  • He was a head of his time, this was composed in 1879-, 130 years ago! so modern

  • I have to say again, every time the basses come in, it is like a mountain coming up out of the ground. Very masculine sound this whole group has.

  • Thank you to whoever put this recording on here. Whoever did the sound engineering at this event did a superb job. Also, whoever these basses are, they are good, and well blended. In fact the blend of the whole group is good. Is this on CD?

  • lovinthemusic17, spikz69, songsofie, ToxicPopsicle, onilink220 (and many more future YouTubers I'm sure) are (and will be) in complete agreement with the seven simple letters, stated in ALL CAPS by the indominable donnypsmugm, regarding the Antioch Chamber Ensemble's Os Justi,

  • this is positively beautiful.

  • My high school chamber choir is doing this song for our spring concert, and honestly, we sound good, but not as good as this group!!! Kudos!!!

  • My wife and I have sung this (bass and first alto), and we had it sung at our wedding. It's not easy. This chamber group did a brilliant job. I agree with the others who say it's the best they've heard.

  • Phenomenal.

  • I adore this version. So much alto. It makes me infinitely happy.

  • this is the best recording of this song i've heard.

  • Absolutely fantastic. While trying to learn the song I happened upon this version, and it is by far the best.

  • Yes! the best version I have heard of this piece. Great job. One of my favorite pieces. Very rich tone. Love the lines you guys make. Smooth transitions. Would love to hear live. You have a new fan.

  • this is probably one of the best versions of the piece that i've heard.. nicely done!!

  • AWESOME !!!!!

  • awesome piece!

  • This is like Cats 2 but better!!! ROCK ON ANTIOCH
