@thomas535 to play white stripes, i would recommend getting an old beat up guitar, like archtop with f-holes, kinda 50's style, search pawn shops and yard sales, you can get some great deals.

The Resolectric sure is a cool instrument isn't it! I converted one to a lap steel and call it my banjo guitar because I get great attack and no sustain when I use only the Highlander pick up. Then with the P 90 I can get a warm sound. National makes them now and also has a Reso Jr. with a lipstick pickup that also sounds cool. I am currently having a square neck built for the Reso' to complete the conversion. By the way...great use of the Reso on Voodoo Chile!
