Stork showed off some magnificent micro! The beginning sequence as well as the sunken break - three lurkers popped right in the middle of his troops and he laid out a perfect storm and moved his troops out of the way at the same time. Also, he held off the flank of lings using just storms and dragoons. Bravo!

Yeah, Rise and Klazart really is a GREAT combination. I really like Cholera, Diggity and Moletrap as well, but Rise and Klazart just have some very special link between them which makes their dual commentaries absolutly EXCELLENT!

I feel that game has less to do with Yarnc's micro and more to do with his decision-making. He obviously didn't expect the early pressure, and there just wasn't enough lings to deal with Stork's army composition of streaming zealots + dragoon.

Sure, Stork had great micro, but it wouldn't have mattered if there was, say, a sunken or some more lings at the time of the attack.

YarnC just tried to pump drones way too long. He played a greedy style hoping that the cross positions would prevent stork from trying to push him early with ground units. I think he was expecting fast reaver, but then got owned by just a few units cuz he was pumping drones till he could get hydras.

I'm sorry; I don't know how to make sarcasm more obvious. For those who can't figure it out, my point was that you can't measure the strength of a build by the timescale of expansions. Obviously a 4 pool would always beat a 14 cc, even though it gets a late expansion. Similarly, 1 gate tech often beats Zerg double-expand, because its tech is so accelerated it can do serious damage with sair-dt. Besides, saying a build that just beat YellOw[ArnC] "sucks" is obviously a ridiculous statement.

i never said double expand. i said 1 gate tech sucks because when they 1 gate tech, the zerg can usually get there thrid base by before the protoss get there second. but not in this case because yellow didnt expect stork to move out and stork did alot of damage to yellow's economy. and i know how to fucking play starcraft. and ya, i knoww the tech is accelerated, its called one gate tech.

That doesn't mean 1 gate sucks. You can't expand freely if Sair/DT or Sair/Reaver picks off your expos.

The whole point of 1 gate is to make up for the early economical disadvantage by gainnig early map control.

No, for a Mangoon, you would at least need 20+ kills, like the one mangoon, who repelled a marine rush out of 2 racks just with the help of mikro, range upgrade and shield battery.
