i have a cobra 9 band radar that gave me a false laser reading when i put the pedal to the floor. i just got a 14 band xrs 9445, i hope this one works ok. ive heard cobras are shitty, but i dont have 600 bucks for a v1

@msandonato23 There's only 3 bands that you'll ever need, X, K and Ka. the bullshit extra band that cobra say save you don't do anything. And I got my refurb Escort 8500 for $150. Top of the line detector for cheap!

@crazygrk781 I got mine from Escort's Ebay store. They sell the 8500 and the 8500 X50. They're refurbished, but they come right from Escort so they have no problems, and have a 6 month warranty.

Any radar detector, V1, escort, bel, cobra etc. is going to let you down when the police are not running their radar or shoot you with lidar.

Some do some don't, depends on type of tv remote, and also kind of detector, some filter out anything but police laser, others like the v1 don't for sensitivity reasons..

thats no surprise, its called infrared light. Both laser guns and tv remotes emit IR light.
