  • how much were the 900s

  • they sound good compared to my home theater in a box lol

  • Am I right in saying if i buy Q300 then to pair them with Q600 Centre for a better sound field or am i wrong ?

  • feels like good quality there !! very lively !!

  • wht the name of song?

  • hey mate how much would the two towers cost meÉ

  • Wow, these sound like they Q900's would put my Klipsch RF-82II's to SHAME. Am I right?

What are the Xover designs - LR4's? and where do they Cross in Frequencies?

Are these Q900's ruler flat +/-1.5dB from say 25 to 20kHz.?

  • Would you say you could do without the subwoofer for films ? (for a smaller room)

  • @chriswhiteuk If you have a smaller room, I doubt you will need a subwoofer as long as you are sending the LFE to the Q900's

  • wihat speaker cables do you use on the loudspeakers ?

  • wich speaker cables do you use on the loudspeakers ?

  • The Elbow track is a fine one, and a good point of reference,so why choose another track??. If we hear any difference over You-Tube you know it's gotta be a cracking set-up!!

    Looking forward as always................... :-)

  • that sub will do some damage

  • Great sound!

What model is your onkyo receiver?

  • "Friends of Ours" by Elbow. I like it.

  • Beautiful song

  • There will be a be a new update soon as these are now running with a Beresford TC-7220 with a Nad 355BEE Stereo Amp and a Nad C545BEE Cd player.

What music to use in the video is another thing and will need to choose wisely.

  • How about another video update?? Loved this one!!

  • Have you considered using the the pre-outs on your AVR to a dedicated 2-channel amp? Think think those speakers would thank you for it and you'd really get the benefit when listening to music.

  • @Gixermaxx - Im thinking of buying these just to listen to music in 2.0 setup. How you finding them?

  • @DesiMelodies I only listen to music in Direct mode which is only 2.0. They are superb and out class spekers costing 2 or 3 times as much.

  • @Gixermaxx Good to know :)

  • @Gixermaxx So in this video are they in 2.0, 2.1. All a really wanna know is if the base on the q900's are solid and punchy. and if its a 2.1 sound set up how is the sub doing most of the base from this video. i cant really tell because of youtube. but i'm seriously thinking of buying these speakers :) Thanks.

  • @1993tomstephens this is just 2.0, there is ample bass and solid and punchy, you will not be dissappointed.

  • @Gixermaxx i thought you're cc is playing wouldn't that be not 2.0 but 3.0?

  • @Gixermaxx Hi, i recently had a demo of these speakers using a Onkyo TX-NR809 av receiver, they were fantastic speakers and the clarity of them are superb, however i was a little disappointed with the base levels. The base was clean and fast, but i wanted a bit more punch. I was just wondering were you getting this effect in stereo 2.0? or will i definitely need a sub to deliver that punch.

  • @Gixermaxx Do you prefer KEF to B&W?

  • Hi, would be glad if you tell me what are you playing in this video ? what song ?

    thanks...

  • @ghouri1000 Album is Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid, track 11 Friend of Ours. The album is very good.

  • @Gixermaxx Thank you, appreciated it...

  • Well all new Q series are one of its kind, i must say they are wonderful.

    I personally own classic iq90, iq10, iq6c and q500 running on 2 systems.

    cheers!

  • @ghouri1000 How does the new 900's compare to the old iq90's? I can now get the old 90's for well under half the price of the new 900's (same price as the new q300's) I still like the look of the old cabinets too. The new ones are very modern but quite brutal looking. Obviously they decided that cabinet volume was more important than reflections.

  • @richardfm0 If you are getting classic iq90 in the half price of q900, it's a good choice.

that's true they have changed the cabinet as it looks a little more expensive than the new ones. the oval back looks so solid.. production cost matters indeed.

the new q900 are bigger in size and definitely produces more quality sound. on the other hand if you have good receiver you will enjoy iq90 too.

if you would like to have a look on my systems you may catch me on facebook.

  • @ghouri1000 Thanks. seeing your systems would be great!

  • @richardfm0 :)

  • I use the same Kef Q900 with tube amplifier on KT88 tube.. They only play with tube.. I tested with 5.1 apmlifier.. So shit..

  • would sound better with a carpet on the floor and wallpaper on the wall

  • @djgabc Have a deep pile rug 4 x 2 meter now which is not show in the video

  • @Gixermaxx hahahahah your speakers must be shit then youth .

  • @djgabc if you think u need to hear real sound of any speakers, please don't expect great sound in a video taken from everyday use cameras even d-slr cameras. but yeah commercial videos and movie sounds are taken from different sources and thus they sound good, real good.

so the bottom line is if u are seeing this video of a speakers system make sure u don't wish for the commercial sound. rest this system is good enough for a listener!

  • this is like a porn movie for speaker fans :P

  • Thinking about these for home theater. Live in Florida and no local dealers anywhere near me. Wondering how these would sound without any fancy biwiring...etc - just wired to my Yamaha RX-V3900 receiver. Currently have sweet B&W center channel
