  • I get tingles everytime you sing ahaha :D YOU HAVE TO TEACH ME!!!

  • when she does those rolls down to her lower note and into belting it, it kind of feels like such anguish with the roll, and longing and then anger at the chorus, frustration and anger, but a painful anger, its so beautiful

  • You are amazing (:

Thank you for this, my band and I will perform this at our first perfomance :)

  • Great video! So informative :D I gotta question tho. In the technical part of the song, you focused on the part "When I used to know you so well". I get to sing that part decently (most of the time haha) but the first line of the chorus, "How did we get here" really makes me struggle. Idk, maybe it's something about the closeness of the word "here" but yea… I was hoping maybe you could share a few tips on that? :D

  • OMG MANN YOU ARE AWSOME!!!!!!!! i stubled upon this video and omg i have an audition tommorow at school and im singing this song (im 13) and i have the worst stage fright idk why and by watching this video you helped me learn to use my vioce better i have been practicing this song for over a year now and couldnt get how Hayley does the vibration and you taught me like dude i love you!1 y my stage fright is like gone now because of you o oh god thanks you u sing great btw and keep doin vids ily!

  • I got to say Beautiful!!!!

  • Thanks for the vid! Now I have more of an idea on how to sing that song, I usually struggle a bit with the chorus but now it's easier!

  • This Rendition just got u a new subscriber because of brutal awesomeness. :)

  • Oh my god. You're singing is amazing, and that whole relationship thing you were talking about at the end...hit real close to home. You described my last relationship entirely haha. I've always loved paramore, and you definitely did the song justice!

  • @GodlyNinja That means a lot to hear. I dig into this series because I want people to know how POWERFUL music is. I'm glad that this song touched you and that you liked my rendition. I really felt this one as I was singing it. Smile to you! =)

  • OMG I love you ! Thank you so much for this video. I now know how to sing it better AND I can relate to this song better.

  • @LiarFireDesire Hey! Glad this one worked out for you! Thanks for letting me know! Sing from your heart! =)

  • You RoCk!!!!!!

  • MAy I suggest Halestorm with lead lzzy Hale. Brother/sister band. there is a live performance of a song called "Its not you" Gotta check out the 2 min intro. Boston was my favorite one.

  • You keep saying to take advantage of those open vowels, but I don't get HOW to take advantage of them. When I do the I think I Knooooooow..." part, my voice just gets to high pitched and it cracks.

  • ii totally agree with you music-wise.

  • I agree with you in everything.

  • amazing!!!!!! try something from the album "brand new eyes"!

  • Hey! Love thiss vid! Can you make a singing technique video of a Tokio Hotel song?> Can you "decode" the song's lyrics like you did in this video? Your so awesome! Haha Love it!

    Keep it keeping on!

    ....Puuwai

  • Thank you for introducing me to this song, which I love...and Paramore in general. I am going to check out more of their songs. The lead singer seems to be a good singer/songwriter.

  • Very cool Eric! I think something that would definitely enhance your "Celebrity Tips" series would be more traditional male rock vocals. Richie Kotzen is an excellent candidate, whose powerful vocals, would cover a spectrum that would benefit your lessons. I think there is a lot in his vocals that could definitely benefit your audience. His song "Dust" is a perfect example, available on YoutTube: watch?v=M3Zo5dtqUWo

  • very good!!!! cool!

  • I couldn't agree with you more about the rock songs with great vocals! Fan of both Paramore and Evanesence. Also a big fan of Fall Out Boy because of that as well. Keep up the great work!

  • Sure thing! Sounds like good stuff. Just put them in my docket.

  • I don't know but can u do Pride in the name of love and also lay lady lay By Bob Dylan

  • cool! just put them in the docket! thanks! =)

  • if you have more time for another paramore song you should do All I Wanted, it goes very low in the vocal range to very high and there's this one note around 2:40 thats crazy! thanks for your vids:)

  • Sounds like a good one. I'll put it in the docket!

  • How tha hell do u always have so much energy? is there something in that Japanese water? LOL!! :p

  • IDK! Maybe THAT'S the problem. I drink this stuff everyday. LOL!!!!

  • Yay! I requested and you accepted!, haha awesome. Thank you man, this means a lot! :D

  • Ha ha ha! Glad you enjoyed it. U're welcome.

    ~E~

    P.S. I'm a man of my word! =)

  • Great video E. Hit that note goooooooooood.

Yea Hayley is amazing. Not sure if you know, but her vocal coach is Brett Manning. AMAAZING vocal coach. I actually learned and am learning from him and his company myself (Along side you of course lol)

It's crazy is that she and her band is so good and so young. So that says a lot.

  • @Y4J And I agree, certain vocals sing very well, but it's also good to know how to sing bad vowels as well. Making sure not to stretch them since it pulls you in chest voice, keeping you there when you should be hitting your head or mix. Like in the star spangled banner, instead of stretching "red "GLARE" you sing it as "red glire" with an I. Narrow vocals put you towards head and for people like me who's voice/chest isn't to crazy, it helps a lot.

Should do Fall Out Boy next. AMAZING singer.

  • @Y4J I meant certain vowels*

  • no way i was thinkg of requesting this. ta

  • Lol! Thanks for checkin' it out. =)

  • can I request for Kelly Clarkson, "Since U Been Gone" :s
