  • "Democracy" is the ridiculous idea that 51% of the idiot masses know what's good for the other 49%.

(Also - this is directed at those who live in the US - it's what the US has NEVER been, or was ever intended to be. For those who believe it is, do your research. Start by googling democracy vs republic, or see the article of that title on freerepublic d o t com )

  • Uh no. Hitler was not a communist. At all. In any way, shape, or form. His hate for communism was one of the reasons he got support from the German people. He was called a "socialist", but it's quite obvious his actions and viewpoints had no socialism in mind.

  • @sarcasminacan, yet he supported keynesian economics and strong state control over alot of things. Not a communist, no, but hardly a complete opposite.

  • @AnyThingButWindows You do realize, that the majority should rule a country, not the minority.

  • @Lewa500, no one, not the majority or the minorities or the elite, have the right to "rule". Rule implies using violence on innocent people. No one has that right, you can't give someone else that right through "voting".

  • @Houshalter Rule - a principle of governing behaviour. That is light years away from what your "definition" of rule is. Oh, and another thing, do you know what republicanism is - it is indirect democracy, why don't you people learn it already and stop these pointless arguments.

P.S.: Also, to the brainwashed people around the world - socialism (which has 90% democratic ideals) has nothing to do with what Russia and countries implemented, what they did was plain out dictatorship.

  • @Lewa500, how are you going to have the majority "rule the country" without violence and opression?

  • @Houshalter Aaaaaah, now THAT is something else, that doesn't concern democracy. If all ethnic and race groups would get along, there wouldn't be a need for violence and oppression.

  • @Lewa500, it has nothing to do with ethnic or racial groups. Anything can be a majority. A majority of people can believe the Earth is the center of the universe, have it taught in schools, and have anyone that disagrees killed. A majority of people may be uneducated about the economy, or hate gay people, whatever. An act of state is an act of war. In order to keep it's power, a state has to use violence and coercion on those that do not consent. There is no way around this.

  • @Houshalter "it has nothing to do with ethnic or racial groups." - biggest BS I have ever heard. Also, there is a way around violence and coercion, you just need to establish actual morals and understanding towards other people, instead of today's f***ed up "morals and principles". Another thing, I will ask you this - what stops a president or some other figure of high power to become a dictator?

  • @Lewa500, if the majority of people decide to violate peoples rights in any way in your "democracy", then apparently they are justified to do so, according to you. We've already established "morals and principles". Look up "the philosophy of liberty".

No, I'm an anarchist, you can't have presidents or a "figure of high power" in a stateless society.

  • @Houshalter We've already established "morals and principles" - Hah, even bigger BS, look around you, do you see any morals and principles in people. No? That's right, because there are so little people with these qualities, that they seem insignificant compared to all the hypocrites and greedy people in the world. Also, anarchy is the worst form of... anything! In a state "ruled" by anarchy, there will be chaos and disorder and nothing good ever comes out of that

  • @Lewa500, wow. "Anarchy is chaos" argument. You really have no idea what your talking about, do you?

Look up "the philosophy of liberty" and while your at it, "the non-aggression principle". You do not have the right to initiate force against other people. I don't know why you think you do, or why you think society would be worse off if you didn't, but you simply don't have a right to make other people your slaves.

  • @Houshalter When did I say anarchy is chaos, I said anarchy LEADS to chaos. Try reading the comments more carefully. Also, you don't need to enslave people to rule in a democracy - after all democracy only works correctly when people are responsible, moral and can think for themselves, then there can be tolerance and with tolerance, slavery is eliminated.

  • @Lewa500, anarchy doesn't lead to chaos though. There have been in the past, completely pacifist societies that did just fine, and stateless societies that survived for hundreds, one even a thousand years.

Statism is enslavement though, democracy is just a way of slightly changing the power structure every 4 years or so if enough people see a problem. There's no evidence that works either, it never accomplishes it's stated goals. watch?v=RqF-awFssf0

  • @Houshalter The video you wrote me to watch proves nothing - if you never signed such a contract, you can sue him and your neighbours for those actions. After all, being in a democracy doesn't mean you don't have to abide by the laws - that's why there are parliaments, courts and presidential figures - to make sure the laws are followed and are just to everyone in the country. It doesn't mean that, for example, when a white majority votes a law that is discriminating to a black minority...

  • @Lewa500, ok, so let me get this straight. An arbitrary group of people vote for "representitives". The "representitives" have the power to do things onto other people that would be terribly immoral if any regular person were to do it. But it's ok, because the people they are abusing, gave up their rights by being born into some arbitrary geographical region? And you find this as somehow acceptable?

  • @Houshalter Nope, you got it wrong. This arbitrary group does vote for representatives, but these representatives are chosen to serve the people they represent and if they accept laws, which are abusive of a person's rights (race/sex/ethnic group doesn't matter), those people have the right to take down their representative and choose another. Also, in a true democracy, each group would have equal strength in the parliament to ensure that the people it is representing are not abused by the laws.

  • @Lewa500, The fact is they are granted the right to infringe on the rights of others, and they exercize this power daily. Taxation is theft, regulation is slavery, law enforcement is murder. There's little evidence it has benefited society either.

Your vote doesn't count. It comes down to what the majority believes and decides, and that is usually far from moral and just. If people were perfect, this utopia might work, but they aren't.

  • @Houshalter Well, anarchy wouldn't work for the same reason either. It would lead to chaos, because people aren't perfect.

  • @Lewa500, I know people aren't perfect. That is precisely why anarchy is the only system that can work.

  • Comment removed

  • @Lewa500, using violence and coercion will never, ever, solve serious problems, and I don't know why you think it can. Any system that lies on such a fundamental basis of evil will eventually fall.

  • @Houshalter You're still going with the violence thing and coercion thing? I've never stated that it will solve anything, I don't know where you're getting it from. Another thing I don't know where you're getting from is your way of thinking that democracy is based on violence and coercion - it's not. It is based on a system of government, where the power to rule is given to the people, either using representatives or directly.

  • @Lewa500, What do you think laws are? Recomendations? Suggestions? No, they are demands enforced at the barrel of a gun. Break any one of the hundreds of thousands of laws and regulations, and armed men will show up at your house and kidnap you, and if you resist you will likely be shot. How many people would pay taxes, or even use government issued currency if it was voluntary? You are in denial.

  • @Houshalter Whoa there buddy, I think you're in delusion. Sure, at some parts of the world you do get shot in the head just for jay walking, but those forms of government are not democratic, for sure. Also, I think you don't understand what the economic growth of a country as a whole means - people pay taxes in order for the government to have funds that they can use to better the country (it's infrastructure, etc).

  • @Lewa500, you really believe you can't get shot for jay walking in America? Ok, prove it. Go to the nearest place where it's illegal, get caught, don't pay the fine or whatever the penalty is, and defend yourself when they try to force you to or arrest you for not doing so.

Infrastructure is so poorly done by the government, and so necessary for society as a whole, I don't know why people still support the government just for that function, when that is one of the best reasons to oppose it.

  • @Houshalter Don't get me started on my country's infrastructure... Also, if you didn't get into some sort of trouble when you jay walked, how would you learn your lesson not to do it again and probably get hit by a space shuttle?

  • @Houshalter Believe me, a country during anarchy is very vulnerable during war.

  • @Lewa500, No it's not. When England was almost unable to conquer anarchial Ireland for hundreds of years because their power structure was so decentralized. You can't just march into the capital and behead the king. What capital? What king? There is no tax structure to cut into, no police system to enforce your laws, and all the while tons of small organizations are fighting you and no one respects your authority.

  • @Houshalter One bird does not make spring. Another thing, Ireland did have a king, a High King to be exact and Ireland has been controlled during the time you speak of, around 1171 until the 14th century. That was because most of the Irish kings were persuaded to give lordship to the invaders. Also, around 50 years after that, the Irish Parliament was founded - what was that doing in an anarchic country?

  • @Lewa500 "In Celtic Irish society, the courts and the law were largely libertarian, and operated within a purely state-less manner. This society persisted in this libertarian path for roughly a thousand years until its brutal conquest by England in the seventeenth century. And, in contrast to many similarly functioning primitive tribes (such as the Ibos in West Africa, and many European tribes), preconquest Ireland was not in any sense a "primitive" society:...

  • @Houshalter I don't know about their laws or courts but I do know Celtic Ireland consisted of rivaling tribes and had its own parliament in some point during the 13th century, as I have already said. Also, I do know they were under English and Norman "influence control" for a period of time, as I have already stated above, as well.

  • ... it was a highly complex society that was, for centuries, the most advanced, most scholarly, and most civilized in all of Western Europe. A leading authority on ancient Irish law wrote, 'There was no legislature, no bailiffs, no police, no public enforcement of justice... There was no trace of State-administered justice.'"

  • @Houshalter I'm also not sure they were the most advanced in Western Europe, unless you link me solid proof of what you're saying.

  • @Houshalter After all, what makes democracy unique is that it provides freedom of speech and tolerance towards minorities.

  • @Lewa500, farmers give their livestock limited freedoms as well.

  • @Houshalter Why are we talking about farmers now? Are you changing the subject?

  • @Lewa500, "After all, what makes democracy unique is that it provides freedom of speech and tolerance towards minorities." So the government takes away most of your rights and tosses back a few crumbs. Farmers do the same to their livestock, hence my analogy.

  • @Houshalter Well, if these animals could vote for their farmer, they wouldn't be so oppressed, now would they? Also, that farmer has to imply all of the ideologies of a democracy in order for him to actually call it one. When you're taking the rights from someone and enslaving them, you're not making it a democracy - that's plain out totalitarianism.

  • @Lewa500, Most people don't care about politics enough, and so vote for bad leaders and bad laws. There is no incentive to care either, your vote makes little difference to life. If, however, you could choose who would provide the functions of government for you specifically, like you choose who will buy groceries from specifically, people would care alot more.

Designing a good system of law is almost as complex as designing an automobile, yet the government did terrible at that.

  • @Houshalter For that, I agree.

  • @Houshalter it will be accepted by the parliament, that's why the parliament was created in the first place, so every group of people can be equal when voting such laws. Now, whether you're going to vote "yay" or "nay" for such a law depends entirely on your conscience and not on the form of government. The same goes for every form of government. Also, can you give me 1 name of a country ruled by anarchy without much internal difficulties for more than 50 years.

  • @Lewa500

    Celtic Ireland (650 - 1650) - Lasted over a thousand years.

    Medieval Iceland (930 - 1262) - Lasted 290 Years before it's first civil war. (US lasted 84.)

Parts of Colonial America - All lasted until a foriegn state imposed itself onto them.

The American mild West - lower crime rate then comparable Eastern Cities.

Somalia - 20 years and going, higher standard of living and the violence is mostly do to foriegn states and extremist groups. Parts of it are actually relatively peaceful.

  • @Houshalter Errm, Somalia is a republic and have you heard about the Somalian pirates, they're one of the biggest threats in their country. Also, what does "The American mild West mean", did you mean "wild"?

P.S.: I found this really interesting quote: "Democracy leads to anarchy, which is mob rule" - Plato. An intriguing quote indeed, but far from the truth.

  • @Lewa500, Somalia is mostly stateless, but there are a few states claiming control over different territories, and they are all backed by foreign interests and have little real power.

The pirates are preying off of ships that have been disarmed. If the governments would let them carry a few defensive weapons, they could easily repel pirates, but they won't. Instead they demand a state be imposed on Somalia so it can disarm their citizens as well and even the playing field.

  • watch?v=3TTOsWym-dI

I mean the mild west, as opposed to the fictional "wild" west from literature and movies. Sure, westerns might be entertaining to watch but they are not based on historical facts. There were effective private law enforcement agencies and the crime rate was much lower then in the American East.

  • @AnyThingButWindows You seriously need to open a book about democracy...

  • Democracy is just a word when the people are starvin

  • Democracy is MOB rule. Nothing more and nothing less. You wanna be ruled by a mob? Carefull what you wish for, it may come true.

  • Democracy is MOB rule. Stop spreading lies!

  • Democracy is when I'm on the balcony,

    You are down below,

You have a right to piss on me,

I have a right to piss on you all...

  • AMERICA IS NOT FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!!

  • Why not give these countries a REPUBLIC, LIKE i don't know..... oh ya THE United States of America is a REPUBLIC, don't let anyone tell u different.Democracy is MOB RULE!

  • What is democracy? NOT what they have in the west

  • As much as communist professors like to say that communism and fascism are opposites, they are not. They are very similar. Both require disarming the people, both take away the rights of the people, and both are a marriage of government and corporations. Democracy is a stepping stone to either one. Democracy has been defined as two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. A republic is the best. You actually HAVE rights in a republic. (China is NOT a republic BTW.)

  • I wasn't speculating or anything. Maybe you guys are used to speculation on the internet, but in my American Government Class I took in College last semester I was taught we do not have a true democracy, we have a democratic republic. I was telling the truth, not trying to start shit haha. My text book was "Living Democracy: National Edition" lol

  • Democracy is a pretext used to suppress developing countries from going through the necessary processes to become developed countries.

  • @billzy1982 In what way is it a pretext used to suppress development?

  • Hiter was a communist. You are a sick bastard.

  • WHAT!!!!! Oh my fucking god... hitler ran a totalitarian government.... he was a DICTATOR. Pretty much the opposite of communism. Also... he hated communists almost more than the american government (hard to believe, I know) and killed thousands upon thousands of them. You make me so sad!

  • Is there any difference? Stalin was a communist, and murdered 20 million people. Hitler was elected, and so was Stalin, and Mao. How do you think these people came in to power dumbass? Do you think they just appeared out of fucking thin air?

Hitler was a hardcore communist. He burned the German Reichtag, and blamed it on his own party. Sound like someone familiar? Damn you public school people are dumb as hell.

  • @AnyThingButWindows You don't seem to be very intelligent either. At the very least, you're immature.

  • @Lewa500 You attended a "public" school. I can see that now. Indoctrinated by the state to do the bidding of the state. It was people like you that voted for Hitler.

  • @AnyThingButWindows And it was people like you who voted for Bush... twice... Way to go! *two thumbs up*

  • @Lewa500 No, that was your crowd that elected the 2 party fraud for over 200 years. Now look where we are at. I voted for Chuck Baldwin asshole.

  • @AnyThingButWindows Yet, again, you're responding without knowledge. I don't live in your country, how the hell can I vote for Bush? Even if I did, I still couldn't, since I'm 16.

  • @AnyThingButWindows Another thing, due to the fact that you cannot lead a normal conversation, I am going to stop my replies to you. Good day!

  • @Lewa500 Oh. Some damned kookball little brat foreigner thinks he knows anything about America! HAHAHAHA. That is to laugh.

Your mother doesn't spank you hard enough. You need a good belt across your backside kid.

  • @sarcasminacan Hitler was elected dumbass.

  • @AnyThingButWindows Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, it is obvious how much you actually understand! A communist? You gotta be f*cking kidding me! There are similarities between fascism and communism/socialism but they are so little, it's insignificant to even mention them. And don't go "a lot of people died during those regimes, is that insignificant to you?"-ish, because that has nothing to do with the form of government.

  • DEMOCRACY is MOB RULE!

    DUMMIES!

  • Mobs rule when voices aren't heard. Look at Iran. They don't want American democracy, just their democracy. Their stupid/smart/inbetween intelligant vote heard.

  • AMERICAN democracy is called a REPUBLIC!

Our Forefathers were seriously against DEMOCRACY!

Hence ...why the WORD "democracy" was NOT in OUR CONSTITUTION!

  • PS ....anyhow....The current situation in IRAN has been caused by the CIA....

Just google.."CIA has Distributed 400 Million Dollars Inside Iran to Evoke a Revolution."

  • This video is blatant propaganda because it reinforces most viewers false impression of self defined democracies. I use the US as an example. We (Americans) have representatives who we elect within the framework of a two party system. This framework is very limiting especially since the lines between parties are so blurred. 60% of Americans want single payer health care. We should be able to vote on it and have it. But that won't happen, not in my lifetime!

  • there is not much defrents between any government if u have the wrong person (or persons) to rule ur country! In history existed big leaders in every government. What's that realy means!?!?!

  • democratie is a good system, but the problem is that the humans are too weak to run it... here in holland we have a nice system .. we have everything nicely devided and the head leader doesnt have much power, but we the problem is that only 40% votes and alot of dumb people vote, so we may get a openly racist leader(he openly say he wants muslims out of the country -.-)

  • Are you kidding..how many fruit do you have blended in a Holland smoothie. So few, a nonwhite is viewed with suspion. Dumb people exist and so dumb people vote. Democracy dilutes the stupid to a reasonable fraction.

  • my democracy doesn't let me do alot of things i want to do

  • Also, in school I have to take a class that trys to say how great democracy is. I mean I feel like just standing up and saying "this is a load of bull!" But of course, i will be labeled anti-american. And everyone in class buys this!

  • i agree with you man, im in the same situation. in ireland we have 'CSPE', or 'civil social political education' which is really about how the government is the best thing that happened to us. and if we dont agree with what the teacher is saying , we fail the class.

  • Comment removed

  • Democracy is where 51% can enslave 49% of the other people.

  • People have to have *some* sort of government. Calling it 'enslavement' is sort of meaningless, even if technically true.

Besides- use this standard to compare democracy to other historical methods of government:

  • Monarchy is where the 0.0001% of the population whose dad did it can enslave 99.9998% of the other people

Aristocracy is where you try *really hard* to find the best 0.01% to enslave the other 99.98% of the other people

Socialism is where 100% of the people enslave each other

Anarchy is where anybody can enslave anybody else so long as they can get away with it

Ethnocracy is where the 20% of the people who aren't a funny color can enslave the other 80%

  • i think only educated should be allowd to vote...

  • yeah but some educators just brain wash theres not going to be a perfect government

  • Judging from the level of intellect some of the posts on this video have, it would not be a positive thing to allow everybody to have a voice.

  • i wouldn't say that. It keeps people actually working hard for something. there are countless stories of people coming out of no where with nothing and becoming great. why? capitalism. It gives everyone an opportunity to be what they want. screw the people who are too lazy to get off their fat butts and try doing something. i'm not gonna be the one supporting them when we go socialist

  • it's not a politic system i'm being critic with, is human nature in general, i'm only saying that people, masses in general, all over the world are STUPID (with caps lock on)

    why?

because they are manipulable, they fall for every lie and promises any well versed idiot will give to them, as long as that promise is accordant with what they fear and wish

humankind is stupid in masses and can be brilliant individually.

  • @Tsukinokato That is so true, masses are stupid, most often it's individuals who are intelligent

  • i hate democracy because masses can be brainwashed so easily, human masses, people, they are all so STUPID!

    lol

they actually believe we live in a democracy and not in an information managed society ^^

    that's very funny

  • you are very funny :)

  • I completely agree democracy is flawed. Our fore fathers never intended for this nation to be a democracy. They built our system purely on Republican ideals because they knew that mob rule, which is basically the same thing as democracy, is extremely dangerous. In a TRUE democracy atrocities like slavery, or mass genocide of certain groups can be reality if a major of the people wished it so. Democracy, just like communism, is an extreme that can be very detrimental to any under its system.

  • Close our forfathers allowed for democracy but put balances on legislative branches so make change possible but slow... to stop the mob mentality knee jerk reactions.

People are generally stupid when together and impulsive.

    But

People are generally pretty smart when together and allowed time.

That was the intent of the founding fathers.

  • the word democracy has been used to describe both Republic and Democracy or soo long.. we forget that Democracy alone is a flawed system...in order for it to function properly it has to be combined with Republic Ideals..."and the Republic for which it stands one nation..." soo many people dont understand this difference, they are mislead and therefore vote for a system that can destroy their human rights... dont take my word for it...or anybody elses for that matter....do your homework!

  • Only when the atrocity facilitating State is dismantled, power decentralized & placed into the hands of the people (instead of representatives who only pursue the interests of the highest bidders) will we have real democracy.

  • checks and balances... with a democratic president and democratic congress.... ha! We just get more and more socialist! but i agree obama is certainly not the only one to blame. but lets not leave him out ;)

  • whats so wrong with socialismin the US?

  • Sweden: case and point

  • i hope you were being sarcastic sarcasminacan

  • Nope, well... I believe that the US taking some socialist ideals would be good to lift us out of what capitalism has done to our country. I mean, I'm not a radical socialist. I believe that Democracy has some wonderful ideals that we should hold on to. But since it has turned into a two party system, many of the democratic ideals that we first had have been lost. So, raise taxes! And make sure the money is spent on what we need. Not bailing out insurence companies. But education/health care.

  • Ironically deregulation was made to allow a more SOCIAL well being for those who could not afford housing.. to be able to get loans.

So many people got loans that shouldnt because of groups like Acorn and yes OBAMA democrats... to get people loans that never deserved them.

And because of the housing crash, we are ALL SOCIALLY PAYING FOR IT!!!

So sorry by socialist ideas make things worse.

And we should listened to that old dude Mccain in 2005 and passed regulation to prevented this!

  • Democracy=Bad

    Constitutional Republic=Good

  • i really cant stand democracy i takes way too long to get anything across let alone done...

  • I know, I miss the good old days of the great Empires, from Assiria & Babylon, Persia & Rome, European expansion & conquest of the world. WWI & WWII. At least one knew what their place was in the world, & could choose to be part of history. Sure, millions died and whole civilizations rose & fell along the way' but at least it was exciting. Democracy with all its boring, complex decision making without Republican controls is nothing more than the mob of the stupid majority. Oops, I live there.

  • your cool, i wouldnt kill you in my empire lol

  • I am just been practical, each system of government has had its good and bad points. the main problem is human nature getting in the way of them helping humanity.

  • America overthrew Democracy in Iran in 1953.

America overthrew Democracy in Guatemala in 1954.

America overthrew Democracy in Brazil in 1964.

America overthrew Democracy in Indonesia in 1965.

America overthrew democracy in Greece in 1967.

America overthrew democracy in Chile in 1973.

Etc, etc, etc, Check out my videos to see declassified CIA documents acknowledging the US overthrows & military coups.

  • Like I said. below. If we don't a socialistic country will..

So all you people that want to go to a democracy be my guest and sooner or later a republic either social or capitol will take you over. LOL

  • I really think your comment you futile because it is blatantly obvious that in America we only talk democratic, we don't practice it.

  • SOON IT WILL ALL E SOCIALIST!!!

  • Cute video, but it fails to highlight the one main problem with democracy, i.e. it assumes that when 'the people' make choices that those choices are actually good ones. Hence, a country like America is moving closer and closer to socialism and marxism because of the poor choices by its people, and its elected leaders. Once the poor choices of these 'free' people have lead to socialism then this 'liberty' spoken of in the video will have ceased to exist. What good is a democracy then?

  • USA isn't a democracy, it's a constitutional republic

Everyone has equal rights under a constitution. No one has equal rights in a democracy. The majority rules over the minority.

  • no1 has equal rights in democracy? explain please

  • you dont understand dumb

  • You don't understand English.

  • DEMOCRACY IS 51% of the PEOPLE ENSLAVING THE OTHER 49%.

DOWN WITH DEMOCRACY LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC!

  • equal rights dont work m8

  • you have to differentiate between direkt democracy and indirekt democracy. In a direkt democracy there are no real leaders because the people in that country make all the decision. in an indirekt democracy you vote for someone to represent your opinion.

And there is the glorios half-direkt democracy in Switzerland where you vote about major things and appoint politicians (200+ 46) who discuss minor things

  • we need democracy

  • Democracy = We will give you two choices between two pre-approved canadates or options. On top of it we will completely obscure the issues so that we have to release a 30 page pamplet on 5 issues. Oh and after you get our "democracy" we will move in and dump off some Mcdonalds and walmarts and infect you with capitalism. Damn ain't democracy great?

  • Comment removed

  • Democracy is a nice fiction that keeps people busy thinking they can make a diference when actually they're under any other government system.

  • equal rights? i live in sweden and we dont have equal rights. The leaders dont listen to the voters a bit, they rarely make a voting for really important issues and when they do they mostly go against the will of the poeple. So either democracy is shit or we are just a "democracy".

  • I know how exactly how you feel! In the U.S. we're hoping the guy who fronted for THE YOU CHOOSE FRAUD, ANDERSON COOPER will take on Larry McPhereson in a prize fight to decide who will retain FREEDOM OF SPEECH & DEBATE since the U.S. now uses a private corporation, the CPD to censor everything! It will be really super cool if it happens: THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS VS. THE PUBLIC TRUST! We might actually become a constitutional republic again if Larry wins! Who can you fight?

  • democracy is wot we need, plutocracy is wot we hav

  • I see a lot of comments about how the US is a republic, not a democracy, even some saying this is American propaganda. I know that the US has a hand in this campaign, but this is a worldwide campaign with voices from all across the globe, so why not educate instead of hate.

  • the US wants to take your countries natural resources and enslave your population in a factory putting together merch so that Walmart can roll back their prices and sell us shit for cheap. That's what this horse crap is all about, make no mistake about it democracy in the US is a farse, our government would have no problem ordering the US military to open fire upon its citizens if they actually tried to make a "real democracy", capitalism fails and some day so will the USA

  • you must not know too many people in the military. The military that I know would NOT "open fire upon its citizens" even if they were given the orders. Saying ignorant things like that is a disgraceful thing to say about our soldiers. You make them out to be tools. Without hearts and minds of their own. Regardless of that...each person in the military repeats an oath to uphold the constitution, I don't believe that the constitution says "Kill the citizens if they want 'real democracy'."

  • You have no idea what you are talking about. Democracy is nothing more than mob rule. A democracy is where an individual does not and cannot coexist with the populace.

Yes the good ole USA does enslave countries that are stupid enough to establish democracies. Hell if we don't a socialistic country will..

  • We're not a direct, pure or plain ol' democracy at all. We're an OLIGARCHY. Here's a clue...

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes its laws"

    -M.A. Rothschild

  • Wow I don't think i have ever seen such blatant propaganda in my life. Like many people below are commenting the United States is a Representative democracy or a Republic rather than a Direct democracy which this video implies.

  • Read the Federalists Papers and the US constitution, also de Toqueville. All the great arguments for the various types of democracy are explored by great minds.

  • i hate youtube. everyone just comments on videos and pretends to be experts on every subject imaginable. Most of the time they really have no idea what they are talking about.

  • Everyone ??

  • mostly

  • Second that, bout time someone said that.

  • America is a representative democracy i have read books about democracy and this is thr truth

  • Nic moc

  • We love Ron Paul Jeff Pure Christian Fisher Jane Bowell and Al Gore We are in support of a Fisher Paul ticket in 2012.

  • Nice!

  • Democracy does not equal freedom or rights. It does give you a voice to vote away our individual rights. It is simply majority (or mob) rule. Laws decided by the majority (51%) are for the collective, greater good = socialism. We the people, have been brainwashed by media and our Dept of Public Education (DOPE) in believing we're a "democracy"...this is incredible. Why are we so gullible? Read Article 4, Section 4 of our Constitution. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to yourself...Thx

  • Well I suppose there are few democracies if any in the world ,because the unborn have no rights....

  • Why does everyone want a democracy? Study history. 51% can vote away the individual rights of the other 49%. "Democracy" does not appear in our Declaration of Independence, Constitution or Bill of Rights. We're supposed to be ruled by law (constitutional republic) not man. The sad reality is that we're actually an oligarchy...always have been and always will be. Stop being a sheep...

  • This is a nice video and all but it sounds like some sort of propaganda... "You should love democracy, it is freedom! Damn commies from the rest of the world! Listen to us because a little child said so, and they are always honest..."

  • democracy began from greece. Democracy is the freedom for people to choose for their president and decide for their country. With democracy more than one people decide about our future

however nowadays democracy is going to dissapear..

  • bye bye democracy, haha what a blast :)

  • The US has never declared itself to be anything but a work in progress, that is why we have Constitutional Amendments passed by the states to change the Constitution as needed. America is not rich because of slavery. Prior to the Civil War the poorest states were slave states and they remain poor even today, 145 years after the Civil War. Parts of Africa are today undergoing slavery and they are not rich areas. Slavery demeans the slave and the owner, it is literally inhumane.

  • Democracy in its 'pure' form means that everyone over a certain age votes and that their votes then control the govt. In the USA we have modified it to include minority rights. That is why we have a Senate (2 votes for each state no matter what its population) and a House of Representatives where each state has representation based on population. Read the Federalist Papers, and the Constitution. You may need a dictionary for the hard words, read Alexis de Tocqueville as well.

  • our democracy is coming to a end

  • You forgot to mention how American got to be the richest - slavery. Free labor. Another delight of 'democracy' where everything is automatically just. Democracy and freedom and now just buzzwords for imperialist wars of aggression. Fascist government for and by the military industrial complex at the behest of corporations. The same corporations that will send jobs overseas if they think they can save two cents. No loyalty. But they want you to die for another two cents profit in their wars.

  • Democracy also expelled that slavery because it offended the very basis of its ideals. Corporations and businesses are part of the capitalist system. Democracy is the system of government allowing people to decide and if people are not making the right decisions then yes, democracy does not work or if someone does not give up power it does not work. America has not done that. We have expelled slavery and people come to our country to be free. DEMOCRACY is NOT a joke.

  • "democracy" is two wolves and a lamb deciding whats for dinner. "Democracy" is AIPAC pushing for millions dead in war for israel, the most pathetic excuse for "democracy" ever. "Democracy" is media screaming The Iranian Mullahs are deciding the election, while ignoring the supreme court - Americas version of Mullahs - decided the suspicious vote went to Bush. There is no government for the people, just a government for corporations. "Democracy" is a joke.

  • Weve gone from overtaxed slaves of King George to a new republic that accepted any religious faith, with a brilliant constitution, to being the richest country in the world, to today over 50% of the voters are apathetic to politics, a major portion of Americans are demanding government benefits, to eventually losing all of our freedoms apathy to dependence phase of the theory with over 30% of the nations population already having reached the governmental dependency phase.

  • (Alexander Hamilton Is Winning)

The United States government is not an absolute or pure democracy. According to our Constitution, we have a representative democratic republic.

  • no democracy thru history has lasted more than 200 years our government is now around 200 years if you look at the chart you will see that we are at the end and going back into bondage . we are presently in the apathy to dependancy period.

  • in response to

    fearthisname's comment
