Can someone tell me why he uses mp.shoryu as a AA instead of hp.shoryu.?

Does it have more priority, or is it actually more damaging

more priority.....hp. shoryu is mostly used for ending combos.trying to use hp shoryu as an aa will result in getting kicked in the face
