I thought the gun was "shot". I was searching all over the net and only coming up with the most complicated problems as diagnosis. You did a great presentation here.
@WhyFrostie The motor adjustment for the SCAR is on the bottom of the pistol grip just like an M4. Most have a larger slotted screw instead of the smaller hex screw.
@GsxRaider The disc sits on top of the motor and is what the motor height adjustment screw bottoms out against. Go to our channel and watch our video on "Basic AEG Troubleshooting". It will show where that disc goes.
ok so my gun is making the same noise but the only screw there is to just take it the bottom of the handle off. i open it to get to the motor but there is a bar blocking it.. any help please?
Whenever I tighten it all it does is make a noise like its trying to move but it doesnt and i feel it in the grip a little but it doesnt shoot, and if i loosen it i just get the screechy noise
I have the same problem. That screeching noise. I've tightened, loosened the motor adjustment and still get the same horrible sound. I know that my battery's are working fine, the work on my other AEG. Plus there charged with a smart charger. I have a Matrix lipoly ready 8mm gearbox full metal M4 Carbine 360-400 FPS. I opened up the gearbox and everything is in it's place and nothing is tore down. I have a magnum motor, this can't be happening. Please help me ShortyUSA. Please
@StreetScooterers Well, Matrix is Evike's brand so you would be better off directing this question to them. However, if it is making a screeching sound then something in that gearbox is slipping. I would double check all of the teeth on the piston and gears including the pinion gear on the motor. If it is a Systema Magnum motor then the pinion gear might be broken or worn down. They were notorious for having weak pinion gears.
@ScottishRugby23 I'd verify first that your battery is working correctly in another rifle. If so then it sounds like your gearbox is locked up which could be a broken gear amoung other things. You'd have to have someone open it up to find out.
@iLikeGuns88 Most likely because the cut off lever inside of your gearbox is either wore down or broken. Unfortunately that is a rather involved project which requires complete disassembly of the gearbox.
@blowpenguin The video you are commenting on is the video for motor height adjustment. The Masada I believe has a larger slotted screw for the motor height adjustment on the bottom center of the pistol grip.
i have tried this method with my mp5 but no matter how tight or loose i twist it, the annoying sharp lazer buzzing sound keeps happening. i dont know what to o
@shortyusa Well last week i tried adjusting it and it fixed the gun but for some reason after using it for a long time (2 hours strait) the gun started making a lazer sound. BUT i did try somthing to fix the gun: i took off the cap off the motor adjusting thing on the bottom of the pistol grip and right where the bottom of the motor was, i placed a thin sheet of paper to lift up the motor a bit and then put the motor adjustment bottom thing back on. now it works fine, but does it ruin my gun?
@pie5135 If you put a piece of paper in-between the motor and the base plate then you shimmed the motor to push it down further into the gears. Tightening the motor adjustment should have done the same thing unless you have bottomed it out. If the shim works, that's great though.
my guns fuse and motor connections are fine but when i fire, nothing comes out and it makes a high pitched sqealing noise or no sound at all. I've tried adjusting the motor height but can't get it to the right sound. Any help?
If you have a V2 gearbox you could take the base plate off and hold the motor in manually while pulling the trigger to see if you can get it to catch. If it doesn't fire doing this you most likely have a stripped gear or piston. If you look into the feed tube while you pull the trigger see if you can tell if the air nozzle is moving back and forth. If it is then your piston is stripped. If not, it is most likely a gear.
@shortyusa I've tried holding the motor manually like you said and pushing/pulling it to different heights. I get different sounds, but none are the correct sound and still nothing fires. What do you mean by "feed tube?"
The feed tube is the tube in your rifles magazine well (hole in the rifle which you insert the magazine into) which the BBs feed from the magazine and into the rifle through.
I have a JG M4 S-System and I recently changed one of the connectors on the motor because one of them snapped off. But that one was to bulky and so I ordered one online that's the same size and now it wont fire. It's making noise like it wants to turn, but its not firing...Any ideas please? I will try to adjust the height when my battery charges
Will the gun not shoot if the motor adjustment is way off.....my gun makes more of a chunky noise like it has a low battery even tho it doesn't it also won't fire....could this be y?
The motor adustment could be too tight so that the pinion gear is binding up with the bevel gear. That is vary rare though since usually they get looser not tighter. You might want to double check that battery in another gun to verify that is really is working.
The CM.022 is an electric gun and yes it is automatic. However, the term AEG refers to an electric gun with a standardized gearbox (V1, V2, ect.) such as the rifles made by Tokyo Marui who were the pioneers of AEGs. Later on companies like CYMA came out with imitations of these guns such as the CM.022, CM.023 and CM.020 which had smaller, lower powered gearboxes. Since they were nothing like the guns which everyone knew as AEGs they were deemed LPEGs (Low Powered Electric Gun).
Any gas station, hardware store, lamp store. Check the cord that you plug your battery in to. It should have a round plastic casing about 4 inches in that contains the fuse. Just open this and check wheter the thin metal rod inside the fuse is damaged in any way.
If it is then you just need to take it out, bring it to the store and they will get you a new one. It will probably cost you somewhat less than 4 bucks (some 20 norwegian kroners, dunno exact price).
No matter how much i tighten it, it still makes that noise and it doesn't decrease in intensity when i tighten the screw. Does this mean that i need to switch to a new gun?
Nice vid. I accidentaly di unscrew the m.h.a. screw and after that tried to set it back right. There is one simple thing to do, tighten the screw to max and then make one full turn (360 deg.) back to loosen it.
Am I hurting the gun by moving the scew around trying to find the whole...May have the wrong size..Will go to Lowe's tomorrow and see if they can tell which one is the 1.5 mm
Ok, if it fired before then why did he try adjusting the motor? If the motors height was changed when it was firing ok then that could cause it to not fire anymore.
well first, I didnt mean that as an insult shorty, I love you guys I just ordered a GBB yesterday from you guys :). but it sounded like that so he adjusted it
Not a problem. He might have tightened that screw too much so that the motor locked up from being forced into the gears. Tell him to try backing it out a half turn at a time and see if it works.
I think he may have tried that. Im pretty sure its a bad gun anyway(Matrix SCAR) so hes gonna send it to some shop. Can you guys fix it? Can he send it in to you?
ok well I have another question for you guys. I ordered a kjw m9 on friday and it came a little while ago. I immediately unboxed, loaded the mag with propane, and put some bb's in the mag. when I was filling the mag with propane, AND shooting the gun, all I smelt was propane. Is this normal? is this safe?
The gun uses expanding gas (propane) to operate. So, yes you will smell it while filling it and during operation. I just wouldnt suggest smoking while shooting the gun.
My G36 makes that vacuum cleaner noise, but when I tightened it it doesn't fix. I've been having to adjust the motor for the past 5 months and now it just gave out.
How about they MP 7 i need to know my MP7 needs to be adjust ? HELP ME or please send me a link to a MP 7 adjustment video
