  • Another awesome performance...WoW!

  • In my opinion the finest female trio ever, they had it all, looks, talent class, each and everyone of them.....today they perform without clothes because the talent is lacking !

  • @ronnied828 I AGREE!

  • This group had class. They sang with exceptional harmony, looked sexy without being vulgar. The best there was

  • I love this song....and so glad I was able 2 find the CD with this particular version of "Gee Baby I'm Sorry"......good times!

  • This is total harmony.

  • This is very soulful as well as lovely!RIP Fayette!

  • Thanks Acatinny but the sound here on "Gee Baby" are indeed the ladies. This cut was included on "Standing Up" LP. All other cuts from those sessions have session singers doing soprano. They were acknowledged on the liner notes. The powerhouse soprano on "Gee" is absolutely Fayette.

  • @singlos ...why did Fayette leave...anyone know ??

  • @dirtyedna She left in order to attend college and further her education.

  • @dirtyedna I should add she earned a degree in psychology and became a counselor. She also worked as a vocal coach. And, she never really stopped singing. She became a member of the Intermezzo Choir.

  • The very interesting aspect of this cut is that they had recorded originally with Swan Records way back when. They redid it with Fay, Sheila and Val. Seems they delved into past recordings and added the cut to their first CBS album "Standing Up For Love". While that is definitely Fay on top soprano sounding AMAZING, the other sopranos on this album are session singers. They were even acknowledged. They never sounded the same without Fayette. We so loved your talents Fay.

  • They redid this song for "Toast of Love" album released only in Japan, and this is that version. I guess the one on "Standing up for love" was with Helen's monologue replaced Fay's and got some additional recordings. Other parts and Sheila's and Val's vocals sound same to me. I do not think "Toast of Love" album contains any female Black session singers as you do not find them in Tokyo where they recorded it. I think they recorded harmony parts mutiple times and Val did the soprano too maybe.

  • Thanks so much acatinny. So then "Gee Baby" was released on two albums. I really want to hear "I Do Take You" again. Fayette is amazing on that one too.
