This song is a masterpiece...also the lyrics are emotionally and psychologically descriptive of exactly how it feels to be "in love." Also, usually love songs say how great it is to be in love. But sometimes being in love is difficult (hard!) that's why this song is amazing!

This song IS the 80s for me. It has a haunting melody that even to this day still can't get out of my head. Nick Van Eede still has the pipes, and it's nice to know Cutting Crew has reformed with the Grinning Souls cd.

Except for a chubbier face, the lead singer looks like the lead singer for A-Ha ('Take on Me' - another great 80's song.)

At lesat this has the guitar/keyboard interlude. The version they play on the radio these days cuts it, and it was one of my favorite parts.

I agree, great song! Listening to their "Broadcast" CD recently, I noticed they've got quite a few good songs, many I'd never heard before...Keep the 80's going; blows away a lot put out these days; heck, you just don't here much new stuff with any decent keyboard textures in it, with perhaps the exception of Maroon 5 or Coldplay; 80's songs were so chuck full of synths/keys; may have been overdone at times by some bands, but compared to stuff these days I'll take that decade over the present :)
