when he died i went to his funeral at the old airport rd at a temple.i did cry tht day when i saw his body in the coffin.what a waste and he was such a good singer. i always like to sing like him too.

I was there at the Guangdong cemetary the day before the funeral, his wife, Teng Teng brought me to pay my last respect, I remembered clearly the words she said " Ah Piew, your friend is here to say goodbye to you, do you hear me ?". I had tears in both my eyes. 李逸, we will always miss you and your songs, we will cherish your great songs in many years to come. RIP
问白云, this is the song that won 李逸 the Radio & Television Malaysia's singing talent competition in late 60s/early 70s and paved the way for him to join Life Records and became the leading and dominant Malaysian Male singer in the 70s.
He was killed at about 1 am when he went out to buy supper for his wife who was pregnant at that time and a reckless scramble motorist hitted him and he died. I was so shocked and in great pain when I found out he was my idols, he sent me two pictures with his signatures and his signatures is really beautiful like him and his songs. May God keep him in his tender care. Missed him dearly.

I am very happy to know that you are from Malaysia and same hometown with Lee yee. Your memory is absolutely correct,you still remember the year which was the saddest year for all Lee yee's fans. His beautiful voice and songs have brought us a lot of memories and happiness,he is great and eternal now in the net.
If my memory serves me right, Lee Yee was born in Penang, the same kampung as myself... I heard he was killed in a car accident in the early 80s, right around when he was still very famous.
Lee Yee is one of my all time favorite male singers. Thank you very much for uploading this song.
