Love working the Spladle in a rassling match. Once it's locked on, the guy's not getting out of it. Can keep him under control for as long as you want and make him hurt a lot. He may struggle for a while, but he'll eventually settle down. They always do. Then I slowly muscle down and make him beg before I let him go. Like a Guillotine for the same reason. Both are great, tight submission holds.
Powerful Spladle! If you get at least 7 in a season you become a "Webmaster" & will be eligible for one of the shirts we have to honor those who do it.
This move is call the Cooper. It was Developed by Glen Cooper Of San Juan High School in Citrus Heights, Ca in 1974. Glen was a State Champion and College All American.
well in my opinion its an immidiate pin spladle and banana split if theyre applied right. victim can escape if the opponent dosent have a good grip. but if i got in it ill just lose because theres no way out so ill save the pain and humiliation. besides i did realize how painful it is to the vertebral column because when i was in that position trying to catch my own cum load.
The "spladle"is a fun move to execute on your opponent because you are forcing his butt into a very prominent position. This is just a natural part of the sport of wrestling, to want to lock the other guy up and control him.
Poor kid.....you could see by the end of this match he was out of air, out of gas, and just relived to be out of a humilating position. You just hope that his family and girlfriend were not watching. How humilating. There is no escape. He could have been in that position for hours screaming for releif, but up to the applyers discretion.
well, experiencing this in a match is way different than practicing the move in training. Happily i haven't experienced it; on the contrary i use it against opponents and i enjoy having them there suffering.....
you said you were suffering in the spladle for 2 minutes! That must be really painful.... Have you been struggling to escape or just waited in pain and agony for the end of the match? And, tell me what happened when the match was over: were you able to walk out of the mat?
@oddball3698 I totally agree. I got pinned a lot in high school wrestling, but always hated getting spladled, cause it hurt so much. I'm guesssing you got pinned by the colchester guy who trapped you in the spladle?

As a referee with over 23 years experience this one of the most exciting holds to be able to observe up close.

Spladle's a gr8 hold, really lets u hurt a dude!
bridgerwild 3 years ago
does he had a big pain ? was he pinned ? what can he do in such a tight hold ?
wolfen217 3 years ago
This is definately a painful hold, depending on the flexibility of the "victim".There is no way out of that hold and leads to the pin in most cases.
palestis2 3 years ago
I'm not a wrestler but isn't there a way out of every hold, if you were in his position what would you have done to get out. Just curious.
sportsguy1971 3 years ago
probably dislocate your legs flip out then relocate your legs again
weasledikies 3 years ago
well first thing is this is easy move to see coming. but if i was in it i'd lean to my right grab my leg and break his grib and reverse it
