  • This was amazing...great playing

  • That was nice and I am not even a jazz fan. The D'Angelico is a sweet sounding machine.

  • Very nice! i paid about $700 for my Excel and it plays and sounds great! Great playing!!

  • Great!

  • Very nice. For jazz few compare to the rich sound of a D'Angelico.

  • I WANT A CD!

  • sounds sweet.. I need me a jazzy axe so bad. I subscribed. Please give me a listen

  • Hey Bab, Nice playing and enjoy the Big D .I also own a D'Angelico ( model B ) 1944. It belonged to my Dad and he gave it to me. ( 41 yrs. ago ) It was a birthday gift. I 've thought about selling it many times but just could not part with it or the memories! I have a picture of me and the guitar on Facebook...( Dallas Toto) Well KEEPON STRUMMIN.............DALLAS

  • UR GREAT!!

  • Very soothing!

  • Hey man, this guitar has a beautiful sound. I hear your playing and am taken back to hearing my dad play on his D'Angelico New Yorker with it's D'Armond Pick up and a fender amp. You've gotten the exact same tone here. Kudos to Marc at D'Angelico and to your jazz stylings. This really takes me back. Now, if only I could do justice to my dad's guitar... God bless and keep that tone comin.

  • Nice playing my friend!

I'm mad, but I (sometimes) play the same guitar. Check this out.

    Take care guitar mate.

  • killer tone.

  • What's the difference between the EXS-1 and the EXL-1 ?

  • Thanks for this demo. I'm looking very seriously at this guitar to purchcase in the next 6 months. One question, what kind of amp are you using?

    NTProf

  • The amp is a Music Man 4x10 tube amp

  • Nice to finally see the face Scott. I'm glad to see you're enjoying the EXS-1 & thanks for the kind words.

    Marc

    D'Angelico Guitars

  • Nice guitar and nice playing. What kind of strings? Flatwounds or rounds, which model and brand?

  • thanks man posting this video...

I was going to buy one too.

is that the amber or natural finish?

what size body is that 16" or 17"

I just played on a D'Angelico New Yorker ...Used from 2004

sunburst color and they werre selling it for 1799.99 which is very cheap because they usually go for 2,999.99 .....

I think i might be getting soon ......it had the most beautiful tone and feel I've ever played on before.

Good luck with your new guitar hope for all the best

    take care

  • Thanks for dropping by, Steve. It is the 16" body, color is Amber. I have owned the ultimate (at least what I 'Felt' to be the ultimate) PM100 Ibanez Pat Metheny guitar, and the GB10 George Benson guitar. They were the best jazz boxes I have played up until I picked this EXS-1 up. I will tell you this, at 1/3 the cost, this guitar is every bit the same quality (if not better) and the tone is AMAZING. Reminds me of the metheny (acoustically - tone-wise) - This guitar is worth every penny +++
