I know many veterans of the 2nd Great Patriotic War. As one, a former pilot in the "Night Witches". put it, "We fought for Holy Rus". No one fought for Marxism, all fought for Holy Rus.

There was no "Soviet" people. These heroes came from all the nations that have always constituted Great Russia. "The Soviet people" was a fantasy of Marxist intellectuals. In order to win the 2nd Great Patriotic War, Stalin had to resurrect the symbols of Great Russia. The USSR is a now-ended nightmare, it was a Western intrusion into our Russian homeland.

Stalin would have gladly (as Lenin/Trotsky) sacrificed, murdered, every Slav in Russia to reach that goal. Stalin loved Russians as much as he loved arsenic.

In a very real sense, the Marxist opium dream died on the blood-soaked fields outside Moscow. It never was as virulent as it was in the '20s and '30s again. Do recall that Yuri Gagarin called for the rebuilding of the Khram Spasitelya, and the commies could do not nothing of it!

I do not think we are disagreeing! The Russian soldier refused to die for "internationalism", or for "the revolution". He would die for "Holy Mother Russia". I quite agree. The Russian army refused to fight for communism. It is a fact that the resolve of the Red Army stiffened only after Patriarch Sergei Stagorodsky called for a holy war against the fascist invader.

Nevertheless, we must honour the deeds of the Russian people whilst condemning the excesses of the Marxist minority ("Bolshevk!" How ironic!).
