  • Why wasn't i told about this song earlier!

  • 1. Jimi Hendrix

    2. Chuck Norris

    3. everybody famous in the 60s and 70s

    4. The rest.

  • 1. Jimi Hendrix

    2. Chuck Norris

    3. Jesus

    4. Alexander The Great

  • Jimi Is Un-Fuckin'-Beatable

  • pink man...it's ALL pink!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Jimi pours a gallon of water into a 1/2 gallon jug and doesn't spill a drop.

  • rainbows......pink ponys with glimmer on it, shhiiiiboyy

  • Technology getting better = Music Suckin Ass

Jimi Hendrix > All the rappers and singers of today put together.

  • @JickNohns popular music these days sucks ass, but four tet, nicolas jaar, burial etc have proven that music made on a computer can be as stirring as organic music.

the second part of your statement is still true though.

  • @glaxglax yeah probably a few minds still understand music as a passion rather than the opportunity of singing about Money and cars and for the worst, calling it music. I respect everyone's choice of entertainment i really do but music is music and entertainment is entertainment. Nicolas Jaar and the rest are positive musicians and i truly respect them for that. And i hate it when my reply comments and ever too long. Dang.

  • Cream was aristocracy…

    Jimi was King!!!

  • @FantomasXZ7 is*

  • jimi just added a dash of color to Cream's sunshine. Brilliant.

  • 0:44 Jimi realizes he is being to awesome and has to take a break so that the audience's heads don't blow up.LOL

  • fuck you 29 people! go to hell with sunshine from your ass!

  • does anybody think Blood Sweat and Tears was covered subconsciously or on purpose? /watch?v=qzrmk3EpJ4g&feature=related

  • wow he is the god of the guitar

  • @4:29 the guy on the left is rocking the shit out of those bongos. :D

  • yeah i mean ohh shit,i mean whoo,i mean crazy!! jimi hendrixxxx

  • Like this, But love Cream. Clapton <3

  • Hendrix is rly good, but Creams version is better imo.

  • Comment removed

  • i like clapton but hes plays to soft and clean to me. i watched the live version of layla, it has a great riff, but he just plays like "robot" to me. jimi puts emotion, agression and soul in his music.jimi is more remembered for how advanced he is rather than his technical skill, even though i stiil favor his "sloppy soul" style most of the time. srv tryed to play like jimi but he plays to much like a robot too, he is not even close to jimi, also jimi created the rock and metal sound to me

  • @720slugger I agree.

  • @720slugger You have to check out clapton when he was with Cream , after cream he lost something imo , maybe it was the chemistry beetwen jack bruce ,ginger backed(backer) and eric that made his guitar playing much better when he was with cream

  • the original one is from cream right?

  • @minm123456 yeah they wrote it after a hendrix concert

  • When both top comments are the same...

  • @MichaelTheDemon they are different

  • @Eeli97 Not really.

  • claptons is the best lets face it

  • @THESpoonyLegs umm no :P

  • @THESpoonyLegs The truth is, they were friendly rivals .... they pushed each other to be better.

and the story from Clapton's Biography sys he had never heard Jimi but had heard about him... so he and a producer went to hear Jimi @ a club..... Supposedly the produccer found Eric in the wing... teary eyed... when he asked him what was wrong... Clapton replied.... "I cant do that... How does he do that?"

The best description i've heard ot the two is...

Clapton is a Rock Guitarist who plays blues

  • @emdawgz1 Hendrix is a Blues man who plays Rock.

  • eric clapton&peter townsend& all them fuckers knew they had alot farther to go to be on that level, in my opinion only frank zappa was already there

  • Jimi shined with the love of sunshine<3

  • kill it mitch

  • Why are the two top comments almost identical?....

  • r e s p e c t . . . & RIP Jimi !

  • J I M I H E N D R I X I S G O D

  • @Kinski43 Yes, that's what I keep saying !

  • he not plays so well

    LOL

  • Who else thinks that J.H. is in the top 5 rock guitarist list??

  • @mrgamelover511 I do! But i think he is more than "just" in the top five!

I think he's the best of the top five! HENDRIX ROCK'S!

  • I know this might sound crazy as some great bands and songs have come and gone since Hendrix appeared but you could almost say the guitar reached its pinnical with Hendrix and while some have raised it slightly from there the biggest leap forward was made by Hendrix His music was so amazing it combined so many elements of rock, blues, Soul, R&B, jazz his music couldnt be slapped with a tag and his influence has spread accross all the major spectures of todays music its just crazy.

  • awkward when the top comments are exactly the same

  • @darkroomxvii and the number of likes is inversely

  • is this a song of cream (the band)?

  • @chepepanes Yeah. Cream.

  • @chepepanes Yeah, the original makers

  • @chepepanes kitties and ponies and rainbows and glitter and dolls and boys

  • classic

  • YES!

  • if you could see jimi playing this, theres smoke coming of his guitar.

  • i like this version better

  • 1. Jimi Hendrix

    2. Chuck Norris

    3. Genghis Khan lol

  • @JinheneMongol 4. Kim Jong Il

  • Honestly, despite loving Jimi, I think that the original version is much, much better. .

  • @loving60s - I agree

  • @loving60s ahahahahahhahahahahahahaahahahahahhaa its a totaly different thing ,the cream version is much "smoother" and slower.

Hendrix could easily play it the cream way if he wanted to , but this is hendrix style , more "out of this world" and i like this version more then the original.

Btw clapton would kill somebody to play the guitar like that

    Have a nice day !

  • @Hlotar Who had him as an idol....

  • @Hlotar He's not the best ever (that title would have to go to Jimi), but he's in the top three or five.

  • You know you guys forgot Terry Kath. One of the most forgotton guitar players. Even Jimi said that Terry was better than him. Of course Jimi was more inovative. But Terry Kath was more consistant. That's what Jimi said about Terry to his band mates at a concert Chicago was playing. Look it up if you don't believe me!!!

  • okay is that your'e all fav artist? then, this will be mine: 1.Justin Bieber 2.Justin Timberlake 3.Selina Gomez 4.Kesha 5.Katty Perry 6.Lady Gaga 7.Jonas Brothers 8.Black Eyed Peace 9.Demi Lovato 10.LMFAO Then what's your'e reaction if these names are my fav artist?
  • wtf is with all these lists? you can't order them, they're all a product of their own time and context. right place, right time etc... hendrix is held with such high regard because nobody did what he did up to that point in history, but things change over time and techniques develop as their passed on through the generations. i still love hendrix though, don't get me wrong.

  • @bournvilleaddict Fuck technique ! even 40 years after his death no one can play like hendrix , if they have good techniqe does not matter ,its the feeling ,music is feeling ,not technique !

show me 1 guitar player in the fucking world that can play this song like hendrix did , or some of his red house version , like that in the royal albert hall in london... hendrix is untouchable and unique

    Have a nice day

  • @kimmedavid well .. Stevie ray vaughan is imo the blues version of jimi hendrix

  • @kimmedavid um im pretty sure i said i love hendrix. he's one of my favourite artists. but i stand by what i said. musicians have always been a product of their own time and context. jimi was brilliant, still is by todays standards. but all this 'person A was beter than person B' and 'person A was the best' etc... is pointless. in a different time we would have never heard of him. and as for 'feeling', well i can think of tons of others with just as much 'feeling' in their music.

  • @bournvilleaddict jimi sure was a product of his time ,but he did things that guitaris today cant copy , thats pretty amazing , you dont think so?he changed the fucking guitar world in 4 years for ever !and of course you can say one person plays better guitar then another, i myself would say hendrix was better then me for example ;)

Ive never seen someone played an instrument like hendrix did with his guitar ,it was pure feeling , the guitar was an extension of his body!

  • @bournvilleaddict name me the "tons of other" that play with such feeling as jimi did....

  • @bournvilleaddict Jimmy was the best guitar player ever, with his vision and sense of sound, his personality and genius – the most extraordinary guitar music ever played, the most remarkable sound-scape ever created; of that there is little argument. His music has tremendous effect on people: elation, fear, sexual stimulation, sublimation, disgust – all or none of these – but always drop-jawed. amazement. He was also the ultimate rock star. We miss you Jimmi

  • @Grimmlin3 Hetfield? Fuck off...

  • my top 5 would have to be duane allman, jimi hendrix, eric clapton, jimmy page, and allen collins. i could'nt put them in any order though there all amazing i find it hard to even say a top 5 cos theres so many other greats like steve gaines, carlos santana, joe satriani, steve vai i could go on for ages there all awesome but in different styles.

  • When it comes to Rock n' roll guitar. No one comes even close to Hendrix.

    Hendrix 10

    Duane Allm. 7

    Eric Clapt. 6.

  • @klepzo Jimmy Page?Ritchie Blackmore?

  • I find this version to be rushed.

  • wow this version is way better than the original. figures.

  • I'm sorry, THIS is the best version of "Sunshine" ever. Hendrix wipes the floor with the rest. Just...glorious.

Special mention to Noel Redding's fuzzy bass solo though! Oh man that is the pimpest shit ever.

  • Eddie Van Halen is basically a guitar robot. No emotion at all. Though, wtf are people doing comparing guitarists? Just listen to whatever you like and leave the comparisons be.

  • @MissZepp I'm pretty sure EVH can't playing this fast, most guitarist can't! Maybe they can sounds fast but they playing solo all the time or at least the separation between solo and rhytm part is clear. But this, it need fast creativity wich is talent playing more role than practice.

  • @AlternativeBT

    So true

  • Jimi is THE MAN

  • The sacred Js: Jack White, Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante.

    Your argument is invalid

  • Well, here`s the damned reason why a sane person would run to a music-store and buy stratocasters on credit-cards,dammit !

  • @McLovinGuitar3 Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, SRV, eddie vh, JPJ (even if hes a bassist)

  • I don't know about you guys, but I don't like putting numbers on guitarists and such, because they all are greatly talented and all have their own unique style. It's not "fair" to put up Hendrix against Jimmy Page, they're both great. I mean, I listen to Hendrix a lot more, but still, as said before, they all have their own unique styles. Btw, I know you guys hate it when people do this, but I'm 16. Rest in peace Hendrix, you were one of those one of a kind people. A great loss...

  • @wesleymissteri Where's BUCKETHEAD!!?

  • @wesleymissteri Really? You think Ringo Starr is better than John Lennon or Eric Clapton? I mean, you're entitled to your own opinion and stuff, but really? Ringo is definitely my least favorite of the Beatles. Not to say that he was good for nothing because he certainly contributed a lot, but I definitely don't think he was anywhere near as talented as some of the others you mentioned.

  • @wesleymissteri no Robby Krieger?

  • @wesleymissteri great list but i think that jimmy page is the best guitar player of all time, but thats only my opinion of it.

  • @wesleymissteri Damn yeah!! ♥

  • Wow

  • 1.Jimi Hendrix

  • thats rock not the short list

  • @xProfeshCamperx Why even give justin a place?!

    7- John Mayer

  • @Almak47 You're kidding about John Mayer right?

  • I dont think there is any better honor in the world than having jimi hendrix cover your song.

  • You can tell this is Jimi just by the first few notes, amazing.

  • I think its fake

  • come on guys satriani doesn't have the class hendrix or page have. You cant compare them

  • i hate putting guitar players in order, but jimi would definitely be in my top 5. but eddie van halen is one of the most boring and egotistical guitar players of all time.

  • @alucard6679 like satriani

  • @jackets298 exactly like satriani

  • @alucard6679 listen 2 van halen 1, will blow ur mind, guitarists like rusty cooley are pretty boring 2 listen 2

  • @CrazyEiche i have, and all it did was confirm what i thought of him in the first place. a great guitar player puts his/her soul into it (hendrix is a classic example). all eddie does is show off his technical ability (and even when it comes to that ive seen better).

  • @alucard6679 i agree with everything except halen being a boring guitarist, i think your just trying to start some stupid you tube argument.
