  • Image living for over a hundred years--damn.

  • So did he see action or not?

  • @taylor1654 No, he was too young I think.

  • oh the good olde days, where radio was in and tv was out.

  • The Maple Leaf FOREVER. Lest we forget.

  • John babcock died just 3 days before frank buckles. john being 108 and frank being 110 years old. GLORY too are northern brothers. and happy Canadian day and happy july 4th!!! (its strange how they died 3 days apart from each other and independence day and Canadian day are 3 days apart as well)

  • He doesn't look a day over 95!

  • @CambridgeHeights I thought that.. I think my mum did as well. He looks younger than my Nan who's 90..

  • Maybe Rush can write a song about John Babcock.

  • Same hair! Be careful how you comb your hair growing up, because you'll usually stick with it!

  • He looks good for 106

  • I wonder how Babcock would get along with Frank Buckles and Claude Cloules

    (the other surviving WWI veterans)

  • wow a true canadian fighter

    huge respect.

  • Tell a lie he is still alive. He's now 108!

  • is he dead?

  • May that last Canadian WWI veteran rest in peace and be remembered especially by Canadians and Americans.

  • rhianna0aradia: He was an RCR and will always be an RCR.

  • What's your point? He was born in Canada then joined the Canadian army. Which makes him a Canadian veteran.

  • I Have a big respect for this man, and those who fought in France during that terrible war

    thank Canada

  • i dont get it, it says he never made it to the battle lines then they say how does it feel to have fought in ww1?

  • I would like to thank the americans for honoring a Canadian veteran. We fought side-by-side in two world wars, and we achieved victory in Europe together in 1918 and 1945. All the best to those who fought for democracy.

  • It's not their right to honour him. So they should honour him. I would be mad if they didn't.

  • God bless him. May I say he looks great for even being in the hundreds!

  • i heard he was retaking his canadian citizenship, did he do it yet?

  • Yes. He recently received his Canadian citizenship in a process expedited by the government. He's now a dual citizen of the US and Canada.

  • Sounds like a great guy, but I find it a little ironic that he probably has no idea what youtube is or the fact that we just watched him online without the use of a television.

  • I highly doubt this, he isnt stupid. he got his pilots licence at 65 .. he probably knows all about the internet and politics he likes learning

  • GREAT answer to last question!!!!

  • great work man

  • How does it feel? It feels like everyone is dying around me

  • God bless him

  • Thank you for your sacrifice.

  • Thankyou so much Mr. Babcock.

  • Thank you Sir!

  • Thank you mr Babcock.
