The story is a hoax. Contact the Melbourne Holocaust Centre and ask them. Kurzem approached the Centre in the late '90's and asked for money to tell his story! All it is a story. Kurzem was a war orphan who was picked up by a Latvian police unit like so many other young children. Claiming he was Jewish and the Latvian unit were Nazis makes it a story. A tall story indeed.
