@cougarkat After 20 years I can't recall what that sound is - background music for the CBar test pattern or just an artifact from that VCR dealing with a weak signal. Since the audio was direct to the VHS tape it's not anything from a "stray" source. Luckily back then our KLRN-9 used to go off the air in the wee hours.
