  • whats ur wow name and do u have 360 my gamer tag is shesaidshewaz17 add me

  • I have started consulting companies on how to implement Microsoft Tags into their marketing strategies. They love em!!

  • your video tag is not there anymore :( i think i know where tags will go and how Microsoft will make money :) it will remain free for us :D

  • Omg they have that at Victoria's Secret with their new pushup bras! xD

  • tags: jesus

    O.o

  • thats been around for a couple of years now , its starting to be popular thats why ppl talk about it

  • i like how she went instantly to ...SAFARI....damn apple users nowadays.....GO HTC AND ANDROID!!!

  • It's a great idea... but... I CAN'T FIND ANY TAGS ANYWHERE!!!

  • According to recent statistics, Smartphone adoption rate is at 700% = mobile phones replaced by Smartphones by 2012. Today's consumer wants instant gratification, which Tag offers. Why type in a URL when you can point your Smartphone at a tag & arrive @ the desired destination in a "SNAP"? It is the progression of technology, making it easier & faster to accomplish market penitration. Tag is popping up everywhere, & in todays soft economy, anything that helps 2 generate sales is valuable tool

  • Microsoft has taken the QR and 2d barcoding concept to a totally new level by allowing the tag to be customized. This allows businesses to use it with their logo, therefore further branding the tag. 2d and QR barcoding has been around for a long time, mostly in warehousing. Microsoft Tag is more for marketing and merchandising.

  • Uh......was this a sponsored video? FTC requires disclosure on this, no?

  • it isn't a new idea. QR Codes do the same thing, only they don't look as pretty...

  • japan did those WAAAY before microsoft.

  • @ZEROPRODUCTIONSVIDEO Too bad we're not in Japan. Microsoft brought it to the US. thats what matters.

  • OMG u remind me of boxxy soo fucking much

  • This technology has been around forever. It never has taken off, Sony did something similar to this a while back, and HP and a few others using the same basic set up. I've used this plenty of times over the years and to be honest its not as cool as you might think. The Nexus app that shows you icons of whats around would be better to look into. No idea why Microsoft thinks this is a good idea.

  • It seems like a good piece of technology, I really think it will revolutionize the way that consumers interact with a product, lets only hope we don't see poeple taking it too far and try to talk to a banana or summut xD.

    BTW your hot... :)

  • I think this will make some things sooo much easier!

  • is a smart phone an ipod touch or are they diffrent?

  • @pieninja1001 an Iphone would work. but the iPod touch dosn't have a camera and the app needs a camera to scan the tag.

  • @pieninja1001 oh dear god O_O

  • I think it's pretty amazing. :)

  • downloading it my my phone now:)

  • And how much does Microsoft have to pay these magazine companies to implement this large box of explosive color within their articles? Because I guarantee that not many print sources will have this implemented

  • @COUTUREkid microsoft doesn't pay them they pay microsoft. it is something that benefits the consumer. microsoft doesn't make money cuz the app is free. these poster companies want to make life easier for the consumer.

  • OMG SOO COOL!

  • oh i get it.. this is just like umm? i cant remember but on my blackberr its called bee-tag?

something like that cant exactly remember

  • i have google googles .

  • oooh! I really wish my ipod touch had a camera :)

  • I think it's a very cool idea, but I don't have a smartphone, so I have no use for it :S

  • It's beneficial, but 2D bar codes already exist. This is just a microsoft version of the 2D bar-code.

  • whats your accent

  • @skipthenames Californian? She's American.

  • @SkipTheNames english its just her voice

  • I dont have a smart phone :[

  • wow thats really awesome!! i wish i had the iphone :[

  • what if you don't have a smart phone?

  • OMG THAT'S AMAZING! :O

  • OMG that... is awesome... EXCEPT i dont have a smartphone :( ohhh welll buuut i wannt one!! hehe

  • go to the 43 second in stop

  • u look tried

  • thats cool

  • I don't have a smart phone, so its not useful to me at the moment, but it seems like a good idea.

  • did you get paid to do this?

  • @mellowcello17 sure, she's so popular, alot of advertising companies would pay her.

  • Your cute, and you use microsoft apps O.O

  • @miles305678 xDD Don't stereotype.

  • Stereotype who : O all I said is a like microsoft and she is cute.

  • That's not how I read it. I though you meant cute people can't use technology. Nevermind. xD

  • Its okay we all get mixed up, hard to tell mood or meaning on the net : >

  • Seems pretty spiffy, But I don't have a smartphone, so I can't use it /;

  • @Sofiaroxsox17 u fail :P

  • very technological!

I'm not getting the iphone, because I may be moving soon

    to study! yeah!

  • seems like alot of time on microsofts part to fix a world problem that doesn't exist. They took somethign simple and made it simple ,.. its like milking a dead cow. move on microsoft.

  • I don't have a smart phone

  • i have a dumb phone not a smart one o.o

  • that's incredibly amazing. i want a smart phone :( i'm sad!!

  • I wouldn't use it, it only takes 2 seconds to type out the website address, so why not just type it out? Plus the tags don't show you the web address so you don't always know what site you're going to- which could be dangerous.

  • This type of tech is nothing new (I remember a few years ago somebody else was doing something similar. In fact MS may have even bought the research from them and expanded it).

However, I can't wait for the superabundance of "Rick Roll Tags" this will inevitably lead to :Þ

  • where do you get your background music ?

srry , total opposite subject ..

  • whoa tht sounds so cool! i just wish i had a smart phone :(

  • i need to get an Iphone

  • I don't even have a phone.

  • Well I have an iPhone but I really dont think this will be something that people catch onto because not enough people have smart phones, android or apple. But that technology will be useful in other things like take a picture of a ant and wikipedia comes up and show you the history. Or take a picture of a pizza and the local spots show up.

  • Why would you go from using a computer, to taking a picture on your smartphone then surfing the net on a smaller screen :L?

  • I like it but seeing as I don't have a smart phone. It's really not good for me =/

  • Are the kandy krew being paid to talk about these things now? It seems like theyve just been plugging products now, with this tag thing and aubrey's google phone

  • my phone is the first nokia. lol.

  • wow that sounds amazing :)

  • It is helpful. Now if only everybody had smartphones and everything had tags. Seriously. (I want an iPhone.)

  • I can't buy a smart phone but that is cool :)

  • unfortunately I dont have a smart phone :(

  • cool stuff wish i could use it...oh well

  • It sucks if you don't have a smartphone because it doesnt show the link.

  • very very very confusing lol

  • i don't have a smart phone tho D:

  • 3d bar codes already do this. This is Microsoft trying to corrupt an existing standard so they can control it and screw it up. Embrace, Extend, and extinguish. bastards

  • if only i could afford a phone that goes with it :(

  • yup in japan they had this 20 yrs ago,

also nexus, android do this now ,before

  • she is hot

  • That looks so cool. If only I had a smart phone.

  • that's really awesome! ... if i had a smart phone...

  • wtk :)

  • wa! like japanese cellphones

  • It's a neat idea but if it will only work for people who have smart phones, which isn't that many, it wont become a very popular program.

  • omg i thought it was just for the iphone but my g1 has it too!

  • i think this is cool thanks

  • very cool app...thank you for passing it on

  • I think it's be cool if I had a smart phone! :(

  • That's kindof cool!! =D

I have yet to see one in the future.

  • Half the comments I just read are of no relevance to the subject you were talking about, xD But it sounds cool! I wish I had an iPhone so I could try it, xD

  • I'd hit it

  • I'd hit it more softly.

  • I see this turning into an awesome new way of geocashing

  • @corcor301 haha, i love geocashing! :)

  • Kind of cool, but it also sounds pointless.. couldn't this give people viruses?

  • Hmmm... good point.

  • that's cool, but I don't have a smart phone, I don't even have a phone with a camera so useless for me but for other people sounds like it would save time.

  • Sounds pretty useless...

  • Just junk to wait longer to go on your computer.

  • This could lead to potential harmful spyware for your phone. However tis a good idea.

  • i think its pretty awesome tbh!! why not take advantage of what technology can do today?

  • this is the stupidest thing i've ever seen. if you feel the need to do this you're just fucking lazy.

  • meh... That's about it. Meh.

  • Does it work with a Blackberry?

  • That's cool i guess, but it's kind of annoying. Not everyone has a smart phone. They are too fricking expensive. When "smart" phones become standard issue, and cost less than $300 (not including the overpriced monthly rates for internet and data plans), that's when this will work. And actually, I still find it annoying because, it's not like it's that hard to type in a url. It's a neat technology, but it just encourages people to rely on technology even more.

  • @MrsAnneWentworth It works with J2ME phones too (Java phones) which is basically on every non smart phone phone out there, side note T-mobile UK is £7.50 for unlimited data not bad.

  • I think it's gonna get annoying since if it's gonna be in other vidz. At least provide it in the description. I don't exactly like the idea because you can only do this if on the PC. Kinda stupid. youtube wise I mean. For other stuff such as magazine articles and such, it's a good idea.

  • It is a great idea! sidenote: it's crazy how apple fans instantly reject new ideas that are from microsoft! That's just silly :P

  • i'd say its very revolutionary. but great for promoting microsoft on an iphone :D

  • microsoft is slow they've been doing this in japan for a couple of years now

  • sounds good, and looks good. But I don't think it will catch on, just a short term buzz

  • That is awesome cause you could make ur own tags and stick em everywhere. LINKS TA MA YOUTUBE :L

  • God that's so stupid...

  • because its not made by apple right?

  • uh no because it's really stupid and unnecessary.. if it was made by apple I would be ashamed of them for making such a stupid thing. i would never use this. It's taking lazy to other level. Seriously, a fucking waste of my time even being on youtube arguing over it because I just don't give a shit.

  • Still more useful than an Ipad.

  • Neither are very useful...

  • Wow, talk about lazy..

  • bye.

  • like the concept of it but those phones are really expensive and a lot of people don't have them... if tags start showing up everywhere i think i'll go insane.

  • So how much are you getting paid for this? >.>

  • Love the Concept and can't wait to get to using it!

  • To be honest, I don't think this is gonna catch on because not everyone has a smartphone/data plan.

    It's a neat concept, though!

  • i think it just makes people seem lazy, i mean come on how hard is it to type an address in?

  • Japan has already used this forever <_<

  • someone's paid to advertise

  • not bothering having a cell right now so doesn't make a difference to me

  • cool vids...check out our channel. videos will make you laugh. please subscribe

  • i dont have a cell phone like that. :( i do have an ipod touch would that work? haha. well looks cool.

  • It would be cool if i still had an iphone

  • Meghan I think you need to get some sleep!

  • It may change print to the extent that magazines may include way more - though shorter - articles, with the option of letting people tag to expanded content.

So magazines could become even more superficial and ADD-enabling than they already are! :P

  • Whoa, that's awesome! hahaha

  • sweet

  • i thinks its kinda stupid but i can see its point for lazzy ppl

  • im at the itunes site now what agreement pages @_@

  • The market may be limited for something like this now but it may catch on through different companies in time when it becomes more practical and useful for everyone instead of being just a "cool" feature/app.

  • Wow ! :D

  • We The Kings :D

  • i had it before it came out on i phones, android.

  • WETHEKINGS!♥

  • heeh awesum shez an al bhed!

  • that looked sweet i'll be downloading it thats for the burry tech time!...maybe u should have a weekly burry tech time just saying lol ;)

  • seems silly. i wouldnt use it.

  • i dont think it is necessary but a cool fast gadget

  • i don't have a smartphone but i think this is very useful :)

    i like shortcuts^^

  • Did they pay you to do this? I don't why you would promote this other than to test out the new canon which looks incredible. Is it something that is going to over run the media?(youtubes magazines, posters, in stores, ect).I can see this getting into the wrong hands (hackers) and causing some major damage, especially if it gets mainstream.

  • coolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • you know, not the whole world has a smartfone.

  • it's stupid. just another thing that we need to get like update our phonesss.

  • its only cool for people who have that phone

  • it sucks for people without smartphones.

  • that is totally what i was thinking..what if you dont have one. now you see tags everywhere

  • Yah, i think it'll be kind of annoying to see them all over your magazines.

  • what is the intro song from?

  • For those with smart phones, I think this is amazing. Really bridging the gap, as you so ably put it.

  • I hope Microsoft destroys Apple!!

  • YOU ROCK.

  • Fuck Microsoft.

  • Agreed! Too many people jump on the Apple Bandwagon without knowing anything about the products. They produce overpriced colorful/pretty boxes. A lot of their claims in their commercials are complete BS. The only reason they don't get many viruses (they can) is because there are VERY few Apple comps in the world in comparison to PC.

  • that is totally bull, sorry.

  • Yeah none of that bullshit is true at all. Check your facts please.

  • I'm well aware of the facts. Maybe you should check your own and not believe every word Apple spoon feeds you. Good advertising doesn't mean it's a good product.

  • If you actually knew more about computers you wouldn't think so. But it's ok...continue to follow a trend and believe everything you're told rather than learning for yourself.

  • I have a Motodext yeey!! you should get one

  • It kinda sucks if you don't have a smart phone :/

  • this seems pretty sweet!

  • that's really cool! :D

  • it's all based on qr barcodes that have been around for aaggeesssss, I guess the only good thing is that a big name is getting behind them now! :)

  • i dont have a smart phone /:

  • i have an ipod touch.. cna u use it on that coz i searched the app and its not there ?

  • @xoLADYSOVEREIGNox, u cant because u need a camera on it for it to work

  • @xoLADYSOVEREIGNox I think you need a camera phone. Although, you can get a printer and print out tags to your favorite web site and walk around with it on your face, like I am presently doing. It's a good idea, especially when people start to catch onto it. You'll be FAMOUS.
