how is it a mistake? there's an achievement that goes "kill a witch with a single headshot" so it IS possible

No, it says "Kill a Witch with a single SHOT". So, the big mistake everyone does is thinking that a headshot only kills her. Unless on expert, you can shoot her in the back when she sits down. In fact, on expert, you have more time to kill her(head/neckshooting is the only way) before she goes berserk on you.

you know i could sneak past the witch in this spot on normal, harder difficulties make her be angry faster and longer, if she's there next time, leave the minigun, you need pain phills then send some1 to get them, from the far window, stay out of the witch sight, when you done with it take a corner and fight the zombies.

It's a liability, having a witch in the playing field. A witch has to be startled for it to attack, so that includes anything from shining a torch at it to shooting it. But once you piss it off, my god, it is a monster. She can floor all survivors in one hit and has a truckload of health.

Attacking it is not a good idea, but sometimes you'll probably be forced to anyways
