britsalt need to shut up, we have a bullmastiff that is trained to attack on command and trained to stop on command, he will not do a thing in less he is told to, what do u think dogs are for, protection, not everyone wants one to carry around and tote, we love our dogs and everyone in our neighborhood knows them, give me a break dog cruelty
nice looking dog m8 , do you feed it springs, it can jump, you know what your dog is capable off, dont listen to haters who have never met the dog so have no idea
You teach the dog attack commands, then issue the command whilst two young children are running around in the garden..........the dog ignores you and continues to go for your brother as, ultimately, you have no controll over the dog (which looks underweight- you probably feed kibble and nothing else)......is it any wonder so many horror stories of dog attacks are in the news these days.
Your an idiot and you should'nt be allowed to own a dog.......!! ANIMAL CRUELTY IS WRONG !!
A. The "play" attack command was given, no different than telling her she can go and play ruff, coulda even said it was a "go play" command, no different, and she knows the difference between the two.
B. She was raised, and trained to be a protector of children, she would never harm a child, if i where not Certain of this, i wouldn't let her around children at all... She is Very protective of children, and was trained that way, the worst she could/would do to a child, is smuther them with licks
...again, if i was not certain of this, i would not let her be out their with them.... she was trained to protect the children in the backyard, not harm them.....see an adult she doesn't know stick their hand over that fence, they'd lose it..... she a child stick their hand through the fence, it would be licked to death...she knows the difference, she was trained that way...
C. She is a little skinny, but i believe it's because of the genetic cross between her two breeds, as i was already
concerned about that, but her vet said she was perfectly healthy, but she is a picky eater, had her on Nutrience (one of the TOP dog foods) but she would hardly ever eat it, and after numerous times of trying different dog food, the only one she would actually eat enough of was the ol' roy meat chunks.... which she eats alot of, and Has been eating alot of for quite awhile now, thus my thoughts of it being something genetic...
D. The horror stories you hear on the news are mostly inexperienced dog owners who just buy a large breed dog not knowing how to fully care for, or train one, and trying to just use it as a guard dog making it as vicious as possible, than one day it gets loose and attacks somebody... i have years of experience of dog training behind me now, and i have trained a LOT of large breed dogs with a LOT of success.....so before you go calling me an idiot, get your facts straight...
.and i agree %100 percent animal cruelty is wrong, and i'm Extremely against it!! I also agree there are a LOT of people out there that should not own dogs because they end up not caring for them, treating them bad, or end up not training them right... I however am not one of those people....so again, get your facts straight....
If you do really have, "Years of experience of dog training behind me now" then why are'nt you raw feeding !! It's the ONLY way to feed as far as im concerened !! Check out Tom Lonsdale's site (rawmeatybones) and take it from there !
....you will see her gain weight and improvements in her coat, teeth, breath, stools, stamina and mentally !!.............
And if you are "100% against animal cruelty" then why are you training a dog to "see an adult she doesn't know stick their hand over that fence, they'd lose it" ???
Yours is not a police dog !
Training agression against people is wrong and a sure fire way to get you dog impounded and put down!
I don't train aggression into Any animal, i train them to protect....theirs a Huge difference, if she where to see any adult on the street n they went up to pet her (just like 20 people did when i took her for a walk last night) she would give them kisses and n lick them to death.....but yes she was trained to be protective of her property so yes see an adult she doesn't know stick their hand over the fence and they'd probably lose it, but not out of aggression, out of protection...
i have looked into raw feeding before and i Know that realistically it is better for pretty much all animals, however again "realistically" not too many people can afford it..... but money aside, she is eating healthy amounts now anyways, and shes not overly skinny anymore, this video was made over a year ago....maybe even almost 2 years ago now :|
I hear your concerns about affording to raw feed- but living in America you can do it for cheaper than pretty much any country in the world ! At the moment I can feed my Bull Terrier for around £20 a month- thats roughly 1b weight of food a day ranging from raw meaty bones from lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, game and offal, fish, bits for training treats.......this works out far cheaper than dog food ! And with raw feeding you see that it is not the amount that the dog eats that is important.......
.......but the quality of the food and the nutrients she is getting from them. A natural raw diet means your dog is not eating buckets of dog food which contains preservatives and wheat glutens and Lord knows what else every day.
Theeir is a yahoo groups raw feeding community- most people on there are American, there will probably be someone from your local area. They can point you to a local abatoir or meat wholesaler where you can buy bulk cheap meat at a much cheaper price than we do in UK !
thanks for the info, its much appreciated, i'll definitely have to check into the yahoo groups about it....although i doubt i'll find much...i'm in canada, and right now prices on almost Everything have like sky rocketed......it pretty crazy, plus the economy down here is going to hell.....but again thanks for the info....
@MrCollings I got Misha for $500.Not much for the safety of my family.I breed and raise Massive pigs and a Mastiff can protect the children here from them. They make the pedos and pervs think twice too.
I herd of the technique how to high pitch whistle then i practice for 3 weeks until i got it. Sometimes i was going at it so much i would get vertigo lol! but i finally i acquired the technique its also verry useful when cycling : )
