Oh give me a freaking break. I posted the entire interchange between Karl and I, for everyone to witness. Not one person that reviewed it (out of hundreds) has told me that Karl has a leg to stand on.

Actually the past few days/weeks alot of times the dollar has gained and gold and silver werent knocked down. Dubai the exception. It is happening again today- as of now the dollar index is up .18 to 74.61, which gold is up 15.40 to 1211, and silver is up .20 to 19.29...

Karl, who I admire greatly, apparently cannot see past the possibility of the demise of the dollar without having to envision a mad max scenario. Betting on gold as a store of value (and against the dollar in this respect) does not require the end of the world to win. Gold is up somewhere around 50% (I'm too lazy to be accurate on this) in the last 12 months. There are big winners who bought gold - and still no gay mohawked motorcycle gangs killing for gasoline!

Will it be like a world wide black out? Sure but like all blackouts the technicians will turn the lights back on slowly. In the mean time did you prepare to survive financially and socially after a world wide Katrina? If you didn't who's fault is that?
