  • Where can you get this?

  • @neomedia74 Ditto. I want to play!

  • @antdude I looked on google and there he was!!

  • @SShadowBito What keywords did you use? I searched these keywords "Golden Axe" remix, but I ended up with a bunch of song remixes. :(

  • @antdude Write in google "Golden Axe Remake" and looking on the websites, that's how I found it!!!

Now maybe they have made remakes better because this is already old, I don't know!!!

  • @SShadowBito So, Wiki BOR? I saw no download. Who cares if it is old if it is fun. :)

  • 0:56 shame she didn't kill you. :3

  • 4:45 - 4:48 LoL

  • Dude this is a good game but the diference betwen this one and the original are?

    They practilly are equal...

  • This is what sega should be releasing more, games we really want to see.

  • Online Multiplayer???

  • what system/emulator are you on?

  • It's a shame that the game engine is not up to scratch as this is a buzzin remake with the classical score.

  • The engine looks fine for 2 1/2D... Lots of ripped graphics, but the engine doesn't look terriable... What do you see as an issue?

  • It doesn't play like the original arcade. It can be an absolute nightmare attacking the cpu characters, especially the midgets. The spells you cast knocks down the enemies but they get straight back up and attack you when the spell is not even finished. A great game engine makes for great replay value in the years to come which is why the arcade version is still excellent to play now. The Megadrive version is the one closest to it. But even the two extra levels still dont outshine the arcade.

  • That's not so much the engine then as the way they setup the AI and collision boundries. It definitly looked more fast paced compared to the original (I own 1,2 on Sega Gen, the Sega Classics 1,2,3 and the arcade version of 360 Arcade) I rather like Return to Death Adder when it comes to changes to game play. I was just curious, because I didn't want to do the same mistake :P Been working on a Golden Axe parody game for Xbox indie for 1 1/2 years now and going :)

  • If anything it's the overall physics. It's whatever feels right and it's the arcade for me. I do love the duel mode. Wish that was in the MD version but it wouldn't cope with the amount of sprites on the screen all at once. I agree with GA:RoDA does have the best physics out of all of the series.

If you don't want to make the same mistake then it could be worth doing some research on what you think is best gameplay on a scrolling beat 'em up...............>

  • like Final Fight or Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. But I bet you have already done that. I look forward to this parody your doing. It does look interesting. It looks a bit basic, like a flash game at the moment. Sorry if it sounds harsh but i'm a bit of a tough critic so it's up to you if anything I say is going to matter :)

  • Yeah I own Final Fight for Sega CD and MAME'ed Cadillac and Dinosaurs. Also beat King of Dragons. We've done a lot of research on what we like and don't like about various beat'em ups. :) Our videos are always 4 months out of date, we have been giving the graphics an overhaul, professional hand painted backgrounds and portraits, smoothly animated sprites, for the first episode we have 5 boss battles and 9 basic enemy types and 3 mounts. Every following episode will add more.

  • We also are adding sequential comic images for action scenes (cant afford animation sadly) and our camera now zooms in and out on specific environmental cues. We currently have 5 voice actors, though we might be getting a 6th soon Essentially weve gone through this big phase of getting our engine/builder to work for a beatem up and now we are tweaking the gameplay mechanics and polishing up the graphics.

  • Though rewatching this video, Id say one thing positive about this remake aside from the music. The speed at which the people move and run is greatly improved from the original and theyve managed to make the purple chicken not worthless and the mounts attack at what Id call an acceptable rate.

  • NICE!
