The same thing happens to me when I am with my band. Somebody gave me the idea to cover one of my ears or wear an ear-plug in one of my ears in order to hear yourself better. I've tried it and it seems to help me hear myself better.

Has anybody else tried this or heard about this technique? Are the results something similar to the effect you get from this video?

The same situation occurs while singing at karaoke. I would suggest folks to be conscious of their breathing to help and avoid straining.

I always hear the note before I sing it. That is why I am able to easily harmonize on a song.
