@NB3K No knobs = not a real radio!!! Ill bet in 10 years those flex radios will be in the landfill but the older rigs will still be living on. I.e. Drake TR4, TR7, ect ect.
@TheZeke1974 The technology that you speak about being in a landfill within ten years has been in existence ie. within the department of defense since 1994 or maybe 92. Software Defined Radio will be or is already the future of radio technology.
@NB3K Eh ill keep my old rigs.......... Im not interested in computergizmo rigs. Try to tell the old AM boatanchor guys that thier stuff is archaic, old, and obsolete. Most of thier gear is over 50 years old and ill bet it will still be around in 20 more years unlike the computergizmo stuff......
@TheZeke1974 Am broadcasters are using the Flex Radio as an exciter. 3.885 there are many Flexers on the air that have beautiful audio. Could not tell it is ss or tube. I can transmit out to 9kc on AM mode the 5000 can go out to 20kc
@TheZeke1974 I thought I was the stuffed shirt!!! I give you facts you sing your emotional song of yesterdays junk. C'mon argue as if you had a brain!
