Zombies start getting hard, and I mean VERY HARD after round 35 (many gun shots.) A strategy that works is: When you have at least 5000 credits, go upstairs, open all the doors and into the room. If the Mystery Box isn't there, open those two doors. And thhe next two (if the mystery box isn't in that little room, where the zombies fall from the roof.) Stay in the main power room and start killing them, with the random weapon. This strategy works until about 30 or more start coming in.

you should buy quick revive when on your own, it picks you up automatically after about 5 seconds, its not as uselesss as it was on cod 5, you can only use it three times though

for the mp40 spam with double tap for points wouldn't it be better upgraded? its pretty much useless and it has 64 bullets in a clip and will go through quit a few zombies equalling more points

@lun471k2 ( if i upgrade the mp40 it really doesn't hurt them anyway, i get a ton of ammo capacity with it when you shoot a ton of zombies in a line you get a ton of points per bullet shot, its only 500 to refill ammo compared to 4500 upgraded. ) Its all about money / traps at the later levels in my opinion not how much damage your gun does.

now make a strategy with 4 players online, THIS IS FAKKING EASY.. try this with 4 people you will die!!!!!! you get 4 times the amount of zombies. try to survive that. btw with friends it's way more fun way harder. and did i mention fun? got to round 24 last night. yeah looks like shit, but they took like 3 upgraded ray gun rounds. that's allot.. and i farmed to btw :P found that out myself, was kind of proud of it.

Yes i know its harder, i wouldn't say this strategy makes getting to round 40+ easy..it takes alot of patience and some skill.

24 isn't bad especially if it was with random people cause the folks i've been playing with suck.

Once i get all of my RL friends on i'd like to use my 4P strategy but we all work too much :)

@LuminatX I can't test this personally but it seems they got nerfed quite a bit all around on every map in black ops are they slower than on a PC version?

thats weird.. they still melee kind of awkwardly too

I do know they are definitely not as fast and toned down in size as well from WaW

I've neve thought to farm the bullets for the money and just let the traps do the killing. Ni guess when crunch time hits I felt like unless I actually killed them I would never have enough money. Especially in multiplayer

I was calculating 4500 for each ammo refill and with double tap it didn't work out how you could afford it all. So the mp40 does decent damage above level 20? I've always traded it before that for a lmg or something out of the box

yeah you don't upgrade the mp40 ever its just the money maker, you get the same amount of points for each bullet no matter if its upgraded or not so its serving its purpose, I used an upgraded MG before i got the Zeus Cannon not the Mp40 around lvls 18-24 i think it was, just get something with a high ammo capacity until you get the Cannon, that way you can rack up points for the box easier while maneuvering around the level

Did you pap the mp40? Also how do you earn money in the later rounds if you are constantly using traps and the cannon? You dont get money for either kills correct? Also don't you run out of sues cannon ammo? Surely they don't drop enough max ammos ups even with it pap'ed.

Correct you DO NOT get points for the traps, you do get some points from the cannon, when i was taking this serious i would mainly use the cannon if something got in my way, or if i was on the run or grouping,

DO NOT UPGRADE THE MP40! you just use it with doubletap and shoot at the 20+ zombies running after you throughout the level, you will get TONS of points for doing this and you can also simply teleport multiple times a round and nail the zombies with a full clip from above

The Cannon is what you use to group them up and keep it equipped while you run around the map

Break out the MP40 when you feel it is safe and a horde of zombies isnt going to spawn behind you and corner you instantly, rack up points with it, go through the clips and buy more (this is why you don't upgrade it ammo would be $4500)

its just your money maker, understand?

Using this strategy you can survive until the dog round which will replenish your cannon ammo,Repeat over again!

If this was on the PC and i had cheats enabled why would i bother typing out a full strategy and waklthrough?

Its on PS3 and NO its not modded, i just had phone calls during the game so i had to pause it for a sec at one point during dogs i come back with max ammo cause i bought it and forgot the camera was off, sue me!

no mods no glitches i just didnt bother to edit out the interruptions

I pause ALOT during this video to point out traps, and other spots like where i sat up claymores

And i blame the bowie knife its absolutely terrible later on i thought it would be

good for cleaning up the few that are left but i end up having to run through traps

ive activated or spend minutes killing a handful of zombies i should be able to knife 3-4 times but thats not the case,

Honestly when i beat round 40 i was going to turn off the system but i figured i'd make a video/walkthrough out of it since i saw alot of people asking for good solo strategies, at the end of round 40 i had wasted a bunch of points and suicided

cause i was going to quit, but i thought it'd be fun to make a walkthrough

and i also wanted to see if i could survive/proove the strategy would work with little cash, it seemed to work just fine! but thats why i don't have quick revive/double tap in the video, Solo is alot of fun if you set your mind on a very high level you want to achieve and figure out a way to do so, but it does get old, i prefer MP but my mic is broke and im not having much luck finding quality players,Yeah i would try for #1 if the leaderboards still kept track.

Yeah i played until lvl 44 then threw all my monkeys and let them explode and kill me in a zombie swarm cause i had to leave.

The rounds go on forever ( unless their is some gigantic resistance-esque zombie at a really high level no one knows about) haha

Haha! I always play with multi players cause I'm a chicken (and maybe because I'm a chick.  ( No offence girls!! ). I tried solo once and die at round 2... and that's before reading anything on web. OK I'll let you know after this . Hey how cool is that, I just found out you are at the COD wikia thing! Cause I want to know how to throw the monkey if I have them. And there you are again.. . to throw monkeys you have to find the random box first and acquire them through that which could take a while, then you will hit your alternate grenade button ( like flashbangs,concussion grenades etc) to throw them.

- Sometimes i'd toss a monkey and blast away with the thundergun if i knew i had dogs soon, Just in front of the turret at the stage, and make a dart down the hallway or start the whole grouping/waiting on the maximum amount to spawn before i went through a trap

- I'd also get low on ZC ammo with few zombies with a trap active, i'd run through the trap to take out the remaining few but be cautious, you want to make sure its clear ahead cause this is an easy way to get killed, but hey it works..

- Be extremely careful running anywhere into the unknown, keep your Cannon ready to blast anything in front of you, Once you get to the later rounds this is how you survive on the run,

not do damage.

(You really just want to use the traps to kill most of the zombies, Just think that

your thundergun is your "GET OUT OF MY WAY" button and you only want to hit it when you have too)

- When i hit 40+ i pretty much had to Teleport 2 times a round and spam grenades out the window, conserve your money

But sometimes you catch weird respawns and you have to go through the alleyway and hit the firetrap and head back to the stage

...or last resort if you see a group coming you can't deal with try to throw a monkey and teleport -> nade spam!

** when teleporting back from the projection room they are going to RUSH YOU HARD from the theater ** Run straight ahead with the zeus cannon and hit the trap asap, some will probably get through but you will

take out alot / end a long round by doing this. **

- The stage is where i would do most of my "grouping up" zombies have a maximum amount that can be

spawned at once, you want to take out that maximum amount in a single trap as much as possible.

Id find myself using traps all over the level but i really tried to stick to

grouping at the stage then leading them out through the trap in the corridor leading to the lobby, OR through the dressing room trap and running back into the stage passing speed reload and the lobby

monkeys finish it all off with.....doubletap? yes doubletap! why?....heres why

The key to this stage is surviving the zombies, and i feel the best way to do that

is leading them into traps. Traps cost MONEY, money is easily made with the Mp40 + DT

you shoot a clip into a line of about 30 zombies and each bullet is gonna tag at least a few of them.

Do that with all of your mp40 ammo a few times a round and you make bank,

especially with double points!

You have alot of ways to escape and alot of traps to hit but its still

dangerous at this point, don't get caught in a corner!

Part 3: (rounds 20+ ACQUIRED THE LEWTZ!(once you have MP40/Zeus Cannon/ All 4 Perks/ monkeys)

Hopefully before too long you will have acquired the Thundergun from the random box,once you have this its gametime and repetitive time!...upgrade it asap so you can have a higher

capacity/clip it will be crucial in the later levels, Once you have your thundergun...

Basically i start on the stage with the teleporter ready to go at my command

i run around like a moron for about the first 45 seconds of the map, grouping them up.

If i have to stagedive off or run into the teleporter i do it.

If i have to run down the hallway past juggernaut and down towards the mp40 and start the process by running through the map back to the starting point all over i do it!

The mp40 is reliable and you have a way to replenish its ammo, you have teleporter and alot of room.

THAT MEANS NO Ray guns, no shotguns, no crossbows or ballistic knives!

** You can leave the door to the alleyway shut if you like **

it will make running around behind the stage with your mp40 a bit easier in the

rounds before you get your B.F.G!

They will mainly come from the front of the stage and through the

dressing room, I think i eventually opened it around round 31 but that was just

because i wanted to open everything up and even then i probably could have left it shut.

The MP40 actually

rocks until the early teen levels its only $1000 for it / $500 to get ammo and

believe me with this strategy you will use alot of ammo!

All you need to do now is the 'easy part' avoiding zombies and racking up points

for SPEED RELOAD, Once you have your three Perks you are going to find the box and hit it until you get a

weapon you are comfortable with...

Don't upgrade the MP40, you WANT the thundergun but at least try and get an MG/ High Ammo Capacity weapon for points!

Don't buy any of the guns off the wall and buy Quick Revive before you move on.

Part 2 :

Build up enough points to get a MP40 + Juggernog/Speed Reload)

Once you have enough points open the door atop the staircase and then the next door

in the room with all

the portraits.

Walk down the stairs and buy the mp40 on the wall preceed to the stage and hit the power and buy juggernog.

Once you have these two, the power will be on and you have more room to work with.

Heres the strategy its fairly self explanatory,

you have to be good at juking zombies and be patient/keep your cool

Beginning: Rounds 1 - 4

If you're looking at a high level strategy don't expect much of a walkthrough here, you should already know what to do at this point, but heres some tips....

Knife as much as possible, use your pistol only when you are overwhelmed.

Try and get as many points here as possible before opening up the next few doors same old stuff as as always!
