true true, on the dvd he is clearly using a wha, if you listen closely, u can here his wha on a separate output, i think it was split audio for effect. i can hear the clean and the wha when i put headphones on

Cliff's version is definately better than this. However, Jason's playing is more melodic than Cliff's as a rule, and Jason's playing on this version gives it a very eerie feel. It's quite nice.

its not just just wah that makes cliff so much better, its the little licks and fills he adds and the timing of the wah & distortion is amazing. jason is an awsum backing vocalist but his style of bass on the old school albums dont go. cant stand it

Everyone saying Cliff's version is better because he used effects doesn't seem to realize Jason did in S&M too. This is just his dry out, as in his clean channel. Watch S&M and you'll see and hear Jason wahing, clear as day. =p

People need to shut the fuck up and just listen to the music. We get it - Cliff is dead. There will never be another Cliff. Personally, I love what he did here. Just try throwing all the effects Cliff did in with that orchestra and II guarantee it will sound horrible.

This definitely is the right notes and whatnot that Jason plays in S&M. There is no effects present in this recording because it was recorded directly from his amp and that doesn't pick up the effects. But this is 100 percent legit
