To those who made the nasty comments particuarly those about reading from cue cards. Jackie Robinson in his later years suffered from the ravages of diabetes which cost him his eyesight and caused a premature death at the age of 53 in 1972 and as a diabetic those comments make me sick
Ok you know what you guys who slander Jackie really have nothing better to do. Do you? You guys make me sick. Jackie Robinson was a wonderful human being. Better then you who slander him!
I say W about the same way he does but I'm white. I have to admit it's cute how he says W. I happen to LOVE Jackie Robinson.
Watching this after James Earl Jone's alphabet reciting was like eating a beautiful steak and some fine wine and following it up with some literal fecal matter into the mouth.
@tommieturner23 - I want you to know that I'm just being a dick. Don't you also recognise the comedic element of my comment? Likewise, you also have said some very funny shit here. Excellent dear Sir.
This goddamned groid is fucking struggling with it! LOOK at him. I wonder how many takes it took for him to say the alphabet without mixing #s into it or repeating letters?!
@ajschlagler Jackie was a graduate of UCLA so I don't believe he was struggling with the alphabet. Rather than judge him maybe you should judge someone who can't write a sentence without have to use profanity to fill up space.
@ajschlagler Wow, I think it's amazing that an inbred mouth breather like yourself can type. By the way, how do you circumcise a hillbilly? Kick his sister in the chin. Now go home and practice squealing like a pig, Gomer.
Jackie died a young gun in my eyes. He was only 53 when he passed. That is not old to me. I believe Jackie Jr died at the age of 24 in an auto accident. His other son David, lives in Africa, and runs a coffee farm.
@DaVoltaire People speak differently in differently regions of the country. Unfortunately, to be fair, its not limited to the South. Ever hear of Brookynese? How they speak in Damon Runyon stories? So if we embark on a crusade to get people to speak properly, we have a lot of work to do. If you want to start with the rednecks, okay.
If this was 1969 it was really sad by the time he died in 1972. Pretty much he was going down hill phyiscally obviously because of the diabetes complications and that plagued his life. I mean by the time he died, he was in a wheel chair and nearly blind because of the diabetes complications. Still we all can thank this man for giving other minorities the chance to play in majors.
