  • The good old days when you actually needed "talent" and "skill" to be an artist.

  • @dubfortheyouth I agree with you. nowadays you dont have to know how to play an instrument or have great voice to sing and make music. What a shame. only big business made artist now. I hope they get back to basics someday.

  • this hits me where i live, this girl =(

  • I like the song for the guitar rythem in the background remindes me of a telegraph or the rythem to a rally raceing game or movie kind of like the fast playing on the cannonball theme song by snuff garrett, that and the soft harmony of the singers.

  • Glee version was faster <3

  • @136hendrix Yes, the Glee version was faster, but It cannot compare to the original version <3

  • Magnificent melody

  • These lyrics still speak it 40 years later

Cause you dont really love me You just keep me hangin on

  • story of my life...great song! :)

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!!

  • @MegaTronn 70's is the greatest decade of music.....but the 60's were crazy musical times though

  • Oh my God! I didn't know this was by The Supremes! XD

  • Ah, the 1960's. The greatest decade of all things music, period.

  • I think American culture peaked in the 60s... its been downhill since then.

  • @JrFLYnnIV I think 70's and 80's had great music as well, for me it was around the mid to late 90's that music truly went downhill.

  • @JrFLYnnIV lol america has no culture

  • @JrFLYnnIV The decline of America started on Dec 23rd 1913 with the federal reserve act. It took only 20 years and 2 economic crisis' to bankrupt us and put us into receivership which is what the social security act was. It was a banking take over that started on Nov 22nd 1963 when Kennedy was assassinated because he ordered congress to start issuing US currency again which is why he was killed. Look at everything thats happened since Kennedy's death, it all intertwines. Whats to come very vety

  • @JrFLYnnIV Whats to come is complete collapse of the global economy and these banksters Oblahblah and Gee Dubya bailed out with tax payer money will buy up everything for pennies on the dollar just like Nathan Rothchild did in Jolly Ole England in 1812. We were at our height in the 60s but until we arrest the criminals who are destroying our country and the world and hang them all for treason (every politician since LBJ especially The Bush's, Clinton, and Oblahablah) we won't have a future.

  • @MasterWitchDoctor Hum.... okay !

  • whats the new version of the song called with some grime artist on it song lyrics over the top??

  • Great sound...

  • LOVE this song:)

  • took me a long time to find this,made in the 60s are..70s....hmm..good song....but i like drake better >:D O_o

  • good job

  • I fucks with the supremes. that's my nigga Mary Wilson !

  • I'm sitting here thinking of my mother and busting my sides. I was in the 12th grade when this out - used to play it about a hundred times in a row. Mama would be ON FIRE: "What are you listening to that song that many times for - and whatcha doing hanging on if somebody don't want you? These women today are the biggest damned fools I've ever seen in my life."

  • I can't even count the number of 45's I wore to the white groove on this song - my mother in the background - LOL!!! "What do you mean you're hanging on? Don't ever love anyone more than they love you." Eventually, it made sense - waaayyy eventually.

  • thanks 4 posting great !

  • I prefer the Kim Wilde version. It's just so much more catchy. Then again, I have a thing for 80s music.

  • this song is sick

  • This is real singing.... they didn't have all the sound engineering and fancy equipment back then.... It was simple... either you could sing or you couldn't......... over 50% of all artists today.... doesn't even matter what style of music.... can't sing....... Not Even Close....!!!!!!

  • Glee got me here :)

  • Superb ..listen to that Bass by the Master...go funk it up James

  • Thnx Alot For the Comments

  • @bobacat21 JB did the Bass???

  • James Jamerson

  • @bobacat21 great to see a jamerson fan. his work was superior.

  • just after watching house and this song was in it nice beat for an old song

  • Heard this on the radio in the car today and was thinking what a modern song it is, so linear with the almost constant octave strumming guitar....I could see U2 covering this one....And it was the fact the Diana had an imperfect voice that made her voice the signature of the group. She might not have had the vocal chops her the other two had, but her phrasing and uniqueness more than made up for it, and Berry Gordy saw that! yeah!

  • Personally, one of my favourite songs.

  • what do you think of this version?

    /watch?v=GRIOBJyb6LM

  • its cool! LOL

  • great song

  • I think Diana had the vocals that could appease white audiences of the time. If you wanted to make it big, you needed the white audiences

  • I can listen to it over and over again... I love this song. Did James Jamerson bass playing in this song?

  • Yes he did play on this song.

  • Reminds me of when I was a kid. My parents played a lot of oldies :0

  • You can hear Flo helpin out Diana in the lead. I just don't understand if They knew that diana couldn't sing the lead all by herself why didn't they just let Flo sing the lead instead?

  • I know right!! Flo would have been GREAT for this song!

  • @BARBIEDANCER1323 me either. maybe because berry gordy was so determined 2 make diana the star

  • Diana Ross' first solo smash !!!!!!!!!
