  • It's funny - USA 34 won the Defender finals to compete for the Cup, but Connor, upon winning, dumped this boat and went to the faster "Young America" yacht - and later lost 5-0 to Russell Coutts and "Black Magic". Now Coutts is managing the US "BMW Oracle" team under Larry Ellison to get the cup back from Alinghi, who Coutts skippered the Cup from NZL in '03. Go figure!
