I saw on pbs this special about volcanos and they were talking about how drinking water from a spring that was extremely hot ad smelled like sulfer was really bad and could actually kill you because of the natural "chemicals" coming from the earth, now I dunno about all this but I guess I'm just confused on what to believe and why

Would be interested in some of the tests involving testing wild spring waters for presence of heavy metals or even just plain old coliform (sewage).
