this was an amazing movie just saw it today on demand. it was not your typical movie but duh it was from england. i felt drawn to many of the characters and could relate alittle to them. and of course the love scenes were well HOT in a suttle way. if you havent seen this movie then see it!
I was so impressed with the story that I went through the credits afterwards to see who had written the script. It was the most complex character study I have ever seen on film. I haven't seen the Mother in quite some time, but I think its successor, VENUS, is just as good.
This is an incredible film. It dares to look at, to explore the uncomfortable and sad dysfunctional relationships of these characters. Courageous performances by all the leads.

i loved the movie but not the ending. it all was so daring and then it slided back into the stereotypes... sad, still great film.

They also worked together on The Buddha of Suburbia. I think these two do great work together and on their own.
