WE NEED AID HERE IN OUR COUNTRY.

    NUFF SAID

  • @rickytikki1 Agreed we need to help those within our borders. No argument. But there is a reason why poverty in the developing world is called EXTREME poverty. People die because of simple things like a lack of access to clean water and are stuck in poverty because of simple things like lack of access to schools.

So you're entitled to your opinion - I'll follow my own.

  • @rickytikki1 I believe its good what your doing. Nothing wrong with helping another humanbieng. The problem is your not giving people individually money. How many more millions of aid are you going to give. let me put it like this wouldnt you rather teach a guy to fish to feed his/her family for years or rather just giving them fish to eat 1 day. if there is no running water give them running water but dont give them bottled water and wonder why there still thristy.

  • good my friend, is a good day

  • i love italktosnakes! that's so cool!

  • woot, this is awesome! where's my invite? lol

  • Awesome that sounds like a great opportunity! :)

  • Hope things are going well with the politicians. Always awesome to see a peer doing something besides sitting on his butt complaining.

  • We love what your doing! What can we do to help keep it going like, forever?

  • What I find sad is the add in the corner says (OBAMA CARE stop him!!)

  • @evangelinewest every/most viewers see different ads, they are random.

  • Wow, that is great news! Excellent that you get to take along other YouTubers, the more mediums spreading the message the better :]

  • Keep up the good work, Shawn.

  • The quality of your videos is not declining - you're just busy saving the world! You are such an inspiration Sean. I hope that when you are in Washington, the leaders will be interested in an honest discussion about action for the LONG TERM, not just a photo-op in which some money is given away. Thank you for being the voice of so many who don't know how to or haven't had the opportunity to make their voices heard!

  • elephant in the room = massive population growth.

  • Good luck in DC Shawn! What you're doing is inspiring.

  • Awesome, good luck in D.C.!

  • I don't understand why you're more embarassed filming at home... What is there to be embarassed about? Might be a stupid question... but oh well.

  • @SyedaA7 I think a lot of people just feel awkward talking to a camera when other people are around.

  • @SwizzelSticks91 eh. I dunno. In Bangladesh I've always felt that people just generally stare... ESPECIALLY when talking to camera. Maybe that's just me. :)

  • @SyedaA7 That does sound awkward.. I don't have any experience with this so I'm just guessing, but... looking back at his other videos, if he hasn't chosen a mostly secluded area, he's usually got a group of people with him or someone else filming him whereas here he's holding the camera himself. Like I said, I've got no experience with this but I imagine I'd feel a little more ridiculous.. like I'm talking to myself or something.. if that makes sense. >.>

  • That's awesome. Good luck!

  • Yay~!! Thanks so much for doing all this! Thank you for keeping us updated even though ur all busy. Love You~ Stay Strong and of course DFTBA

  • Good luck Shawn! Keep up the amazing work!

  • Good luck in DC. I'm in town if you have a free minute and wanna meet up with an enthusiastic nerdfighter who's into nonprofits.

  • good

  • Good luck I cant think of any really questions for you to ask them really though sorry

  • don't apologize for the quality, I think it's the things you say that matter, not how fancy your videos look. this kind of vlog is just right for keeping your supporters updated and is even more personal, you strolling in the forest and talking freely about what's happening to you at the moment. keep up your work, I think you inspire other people in becoming active for issues they care about.

  • Good luck mate.

  • nice :D

  • Rock on, man!

  • Exciting!! =D

  • Please talk beyond the poverty and about the appropiate technology. Love your work and am excited, but I feel like the discussion needs to be more on the action of how we can help long term. Could we set up systems where the communities could vlog their needs? How do we make sure what is given will be continued to be used after it is gifted? How will we provide jobs to help these people hellp themselves out of poverty, and not rely on us? Thank you, and good luck

  • @greensunshine13 Great comment. I've actually been talking a bit about this outside of these videos - at conferences and presentations. It's a huge topic and it's something that I haven't figured out how to make succinct enough for vlog-form. I'll try and keep that in mind as I continue to keep doing this.

  • Underbar makes me think or underwear, because the underbar is in your pants.

  • ITs funny that its more embarassing in the US than in a country where its just odd to have a video camera let alone make a video of yourself. Thanks for the update!

  • I hope your trip is very successful. I'll be following on Twitter.

  • Good luck in Washington Shawn.

  • i was just wondering what the outcome of the help video was. keep rockin!!

  • Welcome to Washington, DC! I hope you all are successful in spreading the word and helping more folks out there.

  • Good luck with your trip to Washington! Can't wait to hear all about it. You guys are doing amazing things!
