  • That zimXzombie chick sounds a little jealous to me, you look perfectly healthy, and well........she kinda doesn't lol

  • @BleedTheWineUnholy i think i went to look at her page and didnt see much, but what i do recall seeing wasnt very impressive ;} thanks for the support

  • to cos jest glupie jak dla mnie

  • Or if you have too much difficulty, lace your corsets on the front like Miss Emilie <3

  • @eloracave actually, you dont want to do that. that was probably a corset she made herself, which she designed to be like that. at best, it was a bodice. Its very uncomfortable to try to lace a true corset in the front; its bad for you AND the corset. and no, you can't do it in the front and spin it around either. it don't work like that.

I'm telling you this after several years experience handling various corsets.

  • nom nom nom. Sexy girl

  • nice heres hoping that u live in canada

  • Is that Marilyn Manson I hear in the background? :D

  • @SuperLoli101 yes he is

  • @SuperLoli101

dear god i hope not. but at the time i was 16, so it probably is.

  • It also helps to make sure there's proper boning in the back, I tightlace and I HATE when I get a corset that has spiral steel along the eyelets instead of spring steel. Spiral steel is great for the rest of the boning in a corset (especially at the sides) but when you're trying to get a corset as tight as it can go and the back starts bending and warping too much. I've had to actually open up and replace the steel in 2 corsets because of this lol

Where'd you get yours btw?? I love the shape :)

  • @BleedTheWineUnholy you're very right about the spring vs spiral steel. generally spiral-steel corsets are also significantly less expensive than spring steel.

the one i have in this video is from timeless-trends. com

  • I'm loving the Manson music.

  • i have to lacemy corset by myselftonight and i have no idea what to do haha this vid helped tho and u look great loved your shape

  • @AnEsotericMind (a year later) glad i could help!

  • Can i ask where you got it?

  • what is the song playing during the video?

  • @metalchic5 i worked with the guy that owns the company at the first-and-only anime convention i ever went to... lol

    his website is timeless-trends. com

  • your such a cutie

  • Why do you hook the second from the top first?

  • @soulxsisterx I was wondering that too.

  • @soulxsisterx and @soulxsisterx if you do the top hook first, it makes it more difficult to swing the other hooks and eyelets into their places, and most likely will cause it to come undone anyways. doing the second one first allows you to cross the panels enough to hook everything properly. i like to refer to that point as an axis point, like the joint in scissors.

    try it yourself, and see whats easier. :}

  • very hot! Hard to see the corset outline with the dark background though... Love it anyways! ~Jessie

  • What band or musician do you happen to be listening to?

    =)

  • @callie15555556 She;s listening to Marilyn Manson I believe.

  • Does this really shape and loose the bulge on the belly? I have heard so many things about it, but I dont really think it helps.

  • Lol, die!

  • @mgmmikkel i almost did in 2008, stabbed twice and strangulated. but you know what, i'm still here, so fuck you.

  • that looks hard o.0

  • @fringatoon it gets easier with practice

  • wow very beautiful.

  • thanks god i aint a girl XD

  • @prouddreadhead what does being a girl have to do with anything?

  • that's nice... is it ok if i ask where can i get them?

  • @x0ska8rgirl0x timeless-trends. com is where this is from, but Orchard Corset has some lovely ones as well

  • Lovely corset, I think I noticed you got it from timeless trends and I am considering getting one from that site. What would you say is the quality of it seeing as though you have been wearing one. i.e is it strong enough? have you had any problems so far with the corset itself?

  • @MissSaschaLouise i've had my timeless for about 6 or 7 years now, and its still holding up well. granted i dont wear it every day, but all corsets over time will start to slightly stretch.. thus far i havent seen too much changing with it, but i am looking into getting another one.

  • Gorgeous corset and great job self-lacing! Where did you get that corset?

  • @gothicamethyst thank you! my technique has improved since this video. this one is from timeless-trends. com

  • what type of lacing is that string? I have troubles finding anything durable enough that is pretty at the same time!

  • @PiscesPlanetoid its a ribbon that i actually ordered from the timeless website, which is where the corset is from. i wouldnt advise using any ol ribbon though.

  • Wow! Humans sure are squishy!

  • @chelokun indeed! i find it rather unbecoming..

  • what the was that

  • @tazman5001 confused?

  • Looks Great less audio!

  • @GKiltz sorry, i had/have zero video-making experience :P

  • oh yeah ok now i know what to do since i totally heard you through all that loud SSSSHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @MERCENARIESAOAO :x yeah, it's pretty shitty >.< apologies!!

  • I think you look lovely dear (^v^)

  • what is wrong with how much she weighs? she is within average range. she's far from dangerously skinny. quit being so negative for no reason.

  • @autumnatic thank you for the defense, i havent looked at this youtube in quite some time.

  • @zimXzombie yes, my makeup application at this age was not the best. i was learning a lot about myself, and i was learning how to experiment with different mediums, makeup being one of them. i can tell you now that my makeup is -much- better. in the time that you posted this comment, i have been as low as 80 pounds, and as high as 115. my weight in this video is frankly quite healthy, so your comment was very rude and very uncalled for. How many corsets you own doesn't matter, but the entusiasm.

  • is it a lingerie shop where you but corset ?

  • no for corsets you wear over ckothes you buy them from specialist clothing stores. there are tons of online stores as well.

  • @schanasweet your question doesnt make sense... but no, generally lingerie shops do not sell legitimate corsets, they usually just have bustiers, which are -not- the same thing.

  • can u breathe??? its looks gorgeously scary

  • I can't understand a word.. but you look really great =)

  • @SassaTheBeast probably the sound, i dont mind being creepy at all. like swatting at the screen.... >.>

  • I usually don´t let those strings be in side freely -i usually put them around a railing or something, then tighten up and down and walk forward.

  • @Nemimonde that is another way to do it, around a doorknob or something like that. :}

  • you look really cool.

  • You've got some skills there, girlie =P

  • The Sound???? Static or is it just my PC???

  • @ShellyBell1975 no, it was me. i had music BLASTING from the laptop speakers, which is right next to the webcam microphone = bad sound >.<

  • my ears r bleeding

  • @0purple0oranges0 sorry!! D: i dont have editing software.. and i had music BLASTING from the laptop speakers, which is right next to the webcam microphone = bad sound >.<

  • try doing up the busk from the middle and work your way down or up,

or if that's to difficult from the bottom to the top.

you don;t wanna bend your busk.

  • @ClaudiaSwann thank you, i've refined my technique some since this video

  • OH GOD. My ears are dying. Wtf's up with the sound?

    Nice corset though ^^

  • @xnoraax i had music BLASTING from the laptop speakers, which is right next to the webcam microphone = bad sound >.< apologies!!

  • you're wearing a sugarspoon!^^

you listened to emilies advice. that's so fucking cuuuuute^^

  • fucked sound omg my ears

  • @MuffinloverXx i had music BLASTING from the laptop speakers, which is right next to the webcam microphone = bad sound >.< apologies!!

  • Love your video - very nice

  • Do you think I can do the same with my overbust corset? Or is there an other way to lace an overbust?

    Thanks!

Your pretty and I love your corset..;b

  • @DinoSaro nope, they're pretty much the same. sometimes the guide laces (center) are lower depending on where the waist of the corset is intended.

  • Very nicely executed. Your corset fits you beautifully.

  • @thrivesurvive except for the audio! thank you :}

  • Thank you so much!

Now to find out how it's laced...

  • Prettyy..

    Really. You are pretty xD

    I love your hair ^_^

Anyway. Where did you get the corset? I have been looking around the internet for one, but I'm scared to buy a bad one :(

Also, if you're not skinny - you're already skinny on your own, I'm not Dx - would it be okay to wear one as well?

  • @Yokailo mine is from timeless-trends. and yes! ones weight isnt a huge deal with corsets, so long as you get one that is properly fit. :}

  • beautifull video and beautifull music!!

  • wow, you look absolutely gorgeous in that :) nice with the white...it really does help the shape stand out. I can never look that good in a corset :(

  • wow i love that corset where did u get it? lol

    very beautiful..

  • @xErinax7xFFx timeless-trends. com

  • i have always done my corsets up from the top too.... but i've been told by many to start from the 2nd from the bottom... what are your views?

  • @Blackrosereaper i presonally find second-from-top easiest, but what works for you and doesnt damage the corset is best.

  • Have you been doing it?

    Any results?

  • @joshienickey noooo i havent been :/

  • perfect!

  • your so pretty...ackk i hate you :P

  • you are lovely

  • my respect!

  • very cool look, great misic in the black ground aswell,

  • You Remind me So Much of Emilie Autumn!!

Mabie its the hair and make-up.

I love here style! Keep it up (Y)

  • lol, thanks. ^_^

  • Wow, that is so awesome! I've been reading through your comments and have seen several people talk about corset training. What is it generally used for?

  • im bout to get a corset and im just tryin to convinve my dad its good for posture hes alwyas sayin sit up so ... :) hopefully ill get mine whered u get urs? cuase ive ben lookin all day and ive only found two very expensive sites

  • Ah! Thanks for the video! I just got my first corset and was having difficulties putting it on by myself, but now I think I've got the idea. Thanks again!

  • you made corset

  • @Gothicdevil1 no, its from timeless-trends. com

  • hehe nice, you're almost akin to Emily Autumn

  • haha, i wish. lol

  • hehe, well you have alottttttt in common with her though, then again you don't want be a wannabe, you want to be your own individual;D

  • @GothKorn Same attitude, too.. Ha. I love it. xD

  • @GothKorn i still occasionally get people saying i remind them of her. (just today my coworker was creeping on this very youtube, asked if the first video was me.... it was an emilie autumn concert :x)

  • Cool! =D Thank you for a video the public can understand! XP But honestly, I was more interested in your cool hairdo!!! =DDD Haha And nice way to end the vid XDDD

  • lol, thanks ^_^ i used to do my hair like that everyday, but theese days i have to work at it! lol.

    ^_^

  • @DarkFairieDust That's so cool. I wonder how they laced up the extremely old/original corsets

  • doesnt it hurt?

i would never do it but w/e,i guess its just a thing some ppl like to do

  • haha, no it doesnt. Depending on how used to it you are, you may not feel it until a few hours after you have it on. Then, you feel it in the bottom of your ribcage and back, but thats cause one's body generally isnt used to being straight.

it varies person to person though. this is my experience.

  • ok well good luck with all of it :)

  • woooww it looks lovely. You've got such a tiny waist... I'm so jealous.

  • very much so!

yet..... i play marylin manson..... ugh.. such a short phase in my life. lol

  • could you please turn the music just a little bit down?^^ So everyone could understand you more.

  • i cant after ive made the vid... sorry.. lol... its playing through my computer speakers to my mic on iTunes....

  • The song is "Evidence" by Marilyn Manson

Nice video, I've always wondered how you do it yourself ;D

  • what is the music u played in the background?

  • marilyn manson - from his new cd (eat me, drink me) and i forgot the title =D

  • It's Manson, thoug im not certian what the song is....Im not as much of a fanatic as i was then, lol

  • How long have you been corset training? And where did you get your first corset?

  • Oh dear, I want your corset!

And thank you, this video helped me alot, since I'm planning on getting one in the future, and I pretty much have no idea how to lace.

    *subscribes*

    Muffins and tea!

    Elin/Konrad-Folke/Case306

  • Way to go Adastrah! Love the little ribbons and accessories in your hair! Love the corset too by the way! Do you know where i could get any older corsets made mostly out of vintage or velvet? lol :D love the Marilyn Manson in the background btw!

  • A vintage corset in good condition would probably set you back about £1000+. ($2000)

Not to mention that they are completely unwearable.

  • Ehm, I bought my first corset a week ago and I'm still having some issues, but this video helps a lot! Thanks you^^ The gap I have is only much larger then yours, is that a problem? (I hope you understand my English) X An

  • NO, its perfectly fine if you have a gap when you lace your corset-- that means its the right size. if you are able to close it all the way, with not a lot of effort, then its probably too big. congrats and good luck! ^_^

  • Hey, thanks for this video! I needed these instructions.

  • lol, no prob. youre welcome ^_^

  • that looks very good on you, you have a gorgeous figure!

  • Thanks. The boyfriend agrees. LOL ^_^

  • One thing I thought I might add....

The gap should be even all the way through, so if you have, say, a two inch gap at the top, you should have a two inch gap in the middle and a two inch gap at the bottom.

  • (this is adastrah, imjust on anoter computer, and im using a friends youtube...)

i thought she called them one or the other... but..im not certan.. on the emilie autumn forum they call them spoonlaces, but i too thought it was spoonlette...

  • spoonlet, emilie calls them not spoonlace ?

  • i thought she called them one or the other... but..im not certan.. on the emilie autumn forum they call them spoonlaces, but i too thought it was spoonlette...

  • EMILIE AUTUMN SPOON NECKLACE. eeeppp :)

  • One does not have a wardrobe complete without a spoonlace with which to compliment. ^_^

a spoonlace, and cameo pin to boot. Among the laces of one's corset and flowing ribbons amongst thine hair. This, my dear, is an Opheliac, or rather an Emilie Autumn muffin plauge rat....

  • A fellow asylum inmate. Greetings my dear.

I am still in the process of finding a nice spoon :S

  • i got almost all of mine from Centeral market. cheating, i know. LOL. The one i am wearing in this video, however is from a store called British Isles.

  • Hi DarkFairieDust,

Many thanks for the instruction video, I found it really helpful.

    Anita-Jayne

  • Thank you!

And that's perfect background music, I am in love with this song. :)

  • hi,i just have a question. i have a full bustier corset, made of lace and satin with boning, but it has the satin ribbon at the back. i always have trouble lacing it up myself.any suggestions

  • i would advise having someone with you to lace it. also, be sure to do it in front of a mirror so that you can see what youre doing. although i didnt do it in this video, it helps to have a contrast behind the lacings so you can see them. i tend to mess up occasionally on my underbust, so its alright. and last, PRACTICE! ^_^

    Adastrah

  • You know, you remind me a lot of Emilie Autumn. If you don't know who she is, look her up, I promise you'll love her. =)

  • *squeeee!!!!!!* i LOOOVE emilie! she is my top idol. its so odd how many people think i look like her, some even go as far as to say that we are newealy twin (but such an honour!)

    thanks! ^_^

    Adastrah

  • Very nice! Please keep us posted on your progress. A light background would be better. Can't see the corset very well against a dark background.

  • Too bad the background music is so loud, one cannot hear some of what you are saying.

  • What a beautiful corset! May I ask where you had gotten such a corset?

  • Wonderful. But a little more light wouldn't hurt. I'd love to see a new post where you lace it closed :-) Only one or two inches left. I bet you'll make it in few weeks. Thanks. And good luck!

  • i may, at some point. but as stated in a previous video, it was a one-week experament and that day was the day before i stopped.... i dont oridarily lace it that tight; it was done for the benefit of the vid.

but when i do decide to do true corset traning at some later date, i will be sure to post that video.

    Adastrah

  • nice, let me help you to lace the rest.

    lovely
