If you didn't notice, I wasn't referring to Ed Ma in this particular video. He actually won this match. He's just been playing worse in each event I see him. I used to resort to checking his matches for some Ken knowledge, but now I have to rely on Inoue to do it.

Gootecks hasn't been playing anything special either. Awesome events, great website, but his skills are lagging behind all his support for the game.

And I have no issues whatsoever with him. On the contrary. I actually remember that during the summer of 2009 I was laying at the beach, sunbathing and listening to a podcast between him and gootecks on my ipod nano. Aprox. 1 hour of SF4 talk from Evo. Pretty enjoyable.

nono i def. see what you're trying to say. I remember Gootecks being amazing, but that's because no one wasn't as good as they are now. Gootecks actually has improved A LOT in many areas. He connects things he used to never connect with Balrog. As time passed by sure people eventually started to get smarter and play safer and do less random Ultras. Gootecks is better than Edma @ this point imo, well more dangerous is the better term i guess.

yeah. it wasnt a scrubby move. often times when someone is being block stringed they would try to reversal attack... back dash or tech a throw that is a big part of Kens mix up game.. the ultra would have beaten all three of those and only would lose to a block... which in this case is what happens, if he would have landed it.. everyone would have been saying UME !!! instead of scrubby...

I have the same problem with Zangif as well. I can deal w/ all characters but Zangfi.

I am an advanced Ken players who use FADC and linking combos but Zangfi is just way too strong for me for some reason.

The cross over - If I try to jump out off it, he does the PPP, if I try to block he does the throw or ultra. If I try to keep distance from it, the EX green hand can get close to me easily and since Ken ain't Akuma, can't teleport to the other side.

Anyone got a similar solution?

Sometimes you get in rock-paper-scissors situations, just predict or guess in those. And you may be forgetting Shoryuken. You should also avoid getting crossed up if it's that much trouble.
