Hi, i borrowed a navman, but i don't know if it is charging, i plugged it into my car and the engine is off, there is no indication that the gps is charging, but is it or how to i tell?

I have a Garmin and love it. I need to update the maps, but I hate to pay the $65.00.

Yeah $65 does seem a bit heavy for a map update.

The XPS8000 is doing great - i love it so far, i kinda miss using imovie though, sony vegas is a little more complicated.
