Ford needs a super charger to even run with the vette. Stangs have to be sent out and modified to run with the vette's. Take a stang off of the assembly line and put it up against a vette off of the assembly line. Now lets run.

A stock Termi can run high-mid 12's. LS1's have broken high 12's but that is with awesome driving. Those are all stock btw.
You also have to equate the DA of the track. Like if you ran a Cobra out in say, Phoenix, AZ (hot as a mofo) you would probably be pulling low 13's in a Cobra.
And as for you not believing me, I did infact do a 13.10 with my stated mods. and a C5 vette can do 12's man because LS1 F-Bodies have gone as low as 12.8. A C5 weighs less so do the math
new heads new cams you can make 175+ with the right set up off just that not every one is cheep and buys $400 cams and $800 heads you get what you pay for with parts

Try more like 150-200lbs, unless you wanna use a cast block which is stupid for an I4. Lets go w/ a more popular trend. A 1900lb CRX w/ a built 1.6L, all aluminum; 15lbs of boost making about 400+whp. Easily a 9sec car. Typical V8 car w/ same specs, probably 11-12sec, w/ a much higher cost. Learn your cars.

As far as them being slow as shit and you can tell why you said that by your screen name for one thing it tells you obviously are not a Chevy fan but just for the record in plain stock form a C-5 Vette could walk on any of the mustangs from around then and the current ones too. Let's see the new KR500 P.O.S. claimed 540hp but runs a 13.0 quarter the same as a stock C-5.

a stock c5 runs 13.6....with cams and heads it can run around 12.5....
the terminator stock runs 13.2, and with intake exhaust, headers, chip, and pulley, there stay in the low 12's...this is seriously a drivers race, and the driver in the terminator sucked....

regardless a stock terminator runs low 13's itself, so even if your right, which you arent.....the terminator should have still walked it, therefore the mods stated arent true, or the driver in the terminator sucked balls...
a stock c5 runs 13.6 tested in car and driver, motortrend, edmonds, and i have seen it was well....
a c5 with cams and boltons is no match for a terminator with bolt ons, pulley and tune.....that terminator is a low 12 second car all day long...

A stock Termi can run high-mid 12's. LS1's have broken high 12's but that is with awesome driving. Those are all stock btw.
You also have to equate the DA of the track. Like if you ran a Cobra out in say, Phoenix, AZ (hot as a mofo) you would probably be pulling low 13's in a Cobra.
And as for you not believing me, I did infact do a 13.10 with my stated mods. and a C5 vette can do 12's man because LS1 F-Bodies have gone as low as 12.8. A C5 weighs less so do the math

Seriously this video is hilarious. A N/A heads cam corvette smokes a bolt on cobra. I think before people buy a cobra people should seriously consider there options. You could buy a 99 C5 for way less then the price you pay for a used cobra and it would be way faster. Cobras are cool but im sorry they shouldnt even be put into the same league as a corvette.
