Go on to Fl Studio, in the pattern editor right click and say 'Insert' then find 'Wave Traveller' and select it. Once Wave Traveller is selected find a crash you like and drag it into the wave traveller. Finally, once that's finished, find the highlighted key in Wave Traveller, right click, go to presets>backwards and the crash will play backwards. This will make a steady build up to the sound change.

In FL9, go to packs>legacy>hiphop> hip_bass. That's what I used in this beat. Or just open up 3x osc then turn the volume on osc 2 down and osc 3 up. Same thing.

I agree. Most people pass by FL Keys because the raw sound isn't so great, but pass it into a filtered mixer channel with a parametric EQ, a little reverb, and maybe a few other filters, and it becomes something really great.
